Did you really visit Distillery District if you didn't visit the infamous Scooped by Demetres? I browsed the menu and immediately knew which double scooped pairing I wanted to try, OFFICE COFFEE (4.6 out of 5.0) and IT'S CHOCOLATE. IT'S HAZELNUT (4.8 out of 5.0). Their ice creams are unbelievably creamy which is delicious but lends itself to be quite decadent and heavy. However, Office Coffee was the less sweet option amongst the two, thanks to the subtle bitterness from the caffeine, which helped to cut some of that richness. If you're a lover of Coffee Crisp and Ferrero Rocher, this pairing really hits the spot! Of course I had to try their waffle cone (as you could visibly see them constantly rolling new ones) which was thin and crispy, the perfect cone (coming from someone who usually prefers sugar cones over waffle!) My sister ordered the MAPLE PECAN CRUNCH, another decadent and creamy ice cream flavor. The highlight of this flavor was undoubtedly the candied pecans which not coming add a slight crunch to contrast the creamy ice cream base, but is also slightly salted to offset some sweetness. Overall, this was delicious but can quite sweet after a while so consider sharing a scoop! (4.6 out of 5.0) Prices: One scoop for $5 Two scoops for $9 Waffle cone for an additional $2 The interior is not very big, but feels spacious for what it is. More importantly, the place looks clean and well-kept. Service was also super friendly, so thanks for the team for that! (Don't know their names but they worked Labor Day around 4 pm in the afternoon, in hopes of giving them a shoutout to their management team). Side note, if you have a Cafe Demetres gift card, it works here too!

I'm so impressed by scooped by Demetres in the distillery district! I've been to their other dessert locations but never tried the scooped locations. they have so many different flavours including some unique ones like goat cheese and roses of paradise. I chose the special (starry compari citrus sorbetto) and the west coast salted caramel. the citrus sorbetto was so refreshing - the grapefruit flavour was a perfect crisp contrast to the sweet, creamy and smooth salted caramel the freshly made waffle cones looked so yummy and made the store smell delicious. the cups had a cute , colorful and playful design that fits perfectly with the exposed wood of the store interior. lastly, the employees of the store were super nice and friendly - they let me sample a few flavours before I made my choice and were very patient! and they also answered all my questions. would definitely come back again!

IG: foodmiipls Lovely little icecream shop at Distillery District. Perfect treat for a sunny day! They have many different unique flavours to try! If you come here for your basic flavours then this is not the spot for you. But be adventurous and try it out! Decent price for scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone. You have the option to choose one ($6) or two scoops($11). With a waffle cone (+2). You can also ask to try flavours if you are unsure of what to get. Great service and atmosphere! Our order: Lavender Blueberry Mist - if you love lavendar like me, you will love this flavour! Mango Passion Fruit Sorbetto - a typical flavour but taste great! Definitely a flavour to choose if you do not feel adventurous with others. Pistachio - another great flavour for the pistachio lovers! Definitely recommend to give it a try! Located at a beautiful location in Toronto!

🦋One almost “fall” day, we decided to head to the Distillery District because Sackeia had an intuitive inspiration to check out that area. As we were almost there, we suddenly had a sweet tooth and wanted to eat at Cacao 70, a place we had been to. As we approached the store, we noticed the lights were off. The store was closed, and our cravings grew stronger. At this point, we were looking for anything that would sustain our sweet tooth.

🦋As we took a few steps away, Sackeria noticed another door, there was a small sign that said “Scooped”, as we turned to each other, puzzled. Instead of continuing our aimless yet, driven journey, we decided to see what “Scooped” was all about. We opened the door and were greeted with the delicious aroma of waffles. We are pretty sure that many people have smelled fresh waffles before, and if you enjoy them, then you know the beauty that we experienced - question: can you smell waffles now? Mmmmmmm 🙂

🦋The place is super cute and cozy. It looks small, but there is a bench with tables at the back and tables with 2 chairs each to the side. The ceilings are really high in some sections making the place very breathable. The counter and sitting areas are all super clean and a nice “pre”-refreshment before our refreshment :) The girl behind the counter was super friendly and definitely not afraid to answer any questions we had about ordering. She even went above and beyond our expectations by putting ice cream on a stick and letting us try what we were deciding on. Mmmmmmmmm! We couldn’t go wrong with our selections now!

🦋We both got waffle cones since they not only smelled delicious, but they looked delicious too! For ice cream, we got 2 scoops each. We didn’t realize what we were in for. If anyone is reading this and knows the size of the scoops you get here, you know it takes mental preparation. The flavours we had were:

🦋Baked Apple Pie

Omg! This tastes exactly like its name. No joke. There are even pieces, BIG pieces of apple pie in this delicious ice cream that wasn’t too creamy. Actually, we enjoyed that about the ice cream since we don’t have dairy often and enjoyed the ease into it.

🦋Cinnamon Roll

Can you say it tastes just like a cinnamon roll? If you love cinnamon rolls you’ll definitely appreciate this scoop of ice cream. It’s absolutely delicious and a favourite among both of us. We are happy tp give the Baked Apple Pie and Cinnamon Roll - thumbs up!

🦋Maple Pecan

Okay, okay, okay. I’m typing this (guess who?) and I absolutely love these two flavours. Anytime an ice cream place has pecan, maple pr walnut, I’m all over it! This ice cream was so so so so so good! It was amazing! There were huge pecans in it that we roasted and soooooo delicious! The maple flavour was so good and reminded me that I’m in Canada and super grateful for where I am.

🦋We want to give a BIG thank you to our server whom we shared a heartfelt conversation and who truly enjoys what she does - knowing food is important because of the happiness it brings people 🙂 Thank you to everyone who works there, all the supporters of this place and their ice cream and Demetres for providing loving food in a happy place 🙂

🦋This is our experience....

Was on my route of doing a bunch of errands and wanted to have a reward. Scooped became that choice, and with so many flavours to choose from, decided to do two scoops on a waffle cone. At first I mentioned flavours but it wasn't till after a bit that the servers suggested I could sample the flavours. It helped much to narrow down my choices, cause sometimes describing isn't enough. Ended up choosing Pistachio Magnifique and Rum Raisin Sorbetto. Really liked how the two scoops were stacked, though I debated to myself if I would have liked the flavours stacked the other way around... oh well, guess that's what a spoon is for. What I liked about each was that they had their own kick to prove their namesake. Pistachio one was nice and creamy, really liked how the chocolate ganache compliments it, though in my personal preference I'd take thinner disbursed stripes of the ganache instead of the chunky version (I'm not everyone). The rum raisin, happy to know it was vegan, very refreshing but still carried that slight creamy element, the servers mentioned it was water-based. Oh, can't forget, the waffle cone is a winner, crispy and didn't make a mess. Until the...
