Bro, is you looking for the tightest, most spook-tacular gyroscopic circuit this Halloween to rock your way through those sick shops and bangin’ galleries of historic Distillery District on? You freakin’ found it, straight up, guy. For real. Two words: Segway of Ontario. Yo my dude-buds, get the ghost story tour, bro, it’s safe! We pure did it non-stop and our guide was wicked knowledgeable about all these sick historical things that like totally happened throughout history and stuff. Bonus: he full on pure made it crazy scary, but like a pure fun scary for sure instead of like not knowing what you’re doing with your life kind of scary which I’d like to think every bro and his chick have to work out at some point in their relationship to strengthen it, you know, like to know if they’re pure compatible together and stuff, bro? Although, I think we tipped our tour guide a smidge too much because we felt bad when he said his name was Erin it made my cousin laugh and I think he knew we were laughing because that’s a girl’s name, bro. Serious though, me, my cousin, and his new girl traversing those sick cobblestone ingresses and safe stone hewed introgressions where all those historical bros and bygone chicks of the old time Gooderham & Worts days of yore were really got me thinking about history and stuff like for real and like how so much has happened right freakin’ there, you know, guy? There were so many ghosts that would have been there, bro, and like life is such a fragile thing sometimes like you don’t know what you’re doing with your girl one minute and then the next like things start to get all complicated and stuff and you aren’t sure if it’s like an exclusive relationship where she’s the VIP and like everything is for her but like she doesn’t really know how to like pure express gratitude for your thoughtful Halloween Segway tour present so it’s just your cousin and his girl and you’re left there thinking that maybe back then was like such a pure full on simpler time, bro. Only difference, back then they didn’t have these mint Segways to cruise their way through the sickest little cafes and bistros, for real, guy. So who...
Read moreI bought the Groupon then tried to book the date, only to find out I could not do that without paying again. I phoned and left a message, explaining that I have already paid and want to book the date, but the site will only let me do that if I pay again.
I received a call back, telling me to "Book it online!". Apparently she had not listened to my concern. I called back, explained again, then was told to "Come in in person with my credit card!". I explained yet again that I HAVE ALREADY PAID, JUST WANT TO BOOK THE DAY. Finally she did understand.
I asked where they were located. She said, "By the World of the Wars sculpture!". I said I don't know what that means. She replied, "No problem!". I said yes it is a problem, since I don't know what she means. She went silent.
The tour guide Megan was full of teen spirit and seemed to be a wannabe stand up comic. She was by no means a historian or even very knowledgeable. Her voice was very loud and high-pitched. I could not have stood more than an hour of her.
I don't recommend this. You could learn more on your own by reading for a few minutes. I guess anyone can set up a tour company....
Read moreI decided to book a tour around Kensington Market on the Segway for 30 minutes as a birthday gift to me. I was apprehensive about the Segway use because I'd never used one before. When you walk in its a small shop but lots of down to earth people very eager to help. I signed the documents and then picked out a helmet, (which by the way the options are fab, bedazzled unicorn, peppy cow etc), and waited for our instructor Katy to help us get set up with the Segway. It was my mom and I doing it and they had a guide helping my mom learn the Segway use and Katy helping me. She was great! Really informative and tons of great jokes to lighten the mood. She didn't let us start till we were sure we felt comfortable with the Segway and the instruction portion was great. Off we went, and we learned a lot of fascinating things about the history of the Kensington Market along with some great mom n'pop shops to check out once we were done. My only regret is not swinging for the 1 Hour tour because it was that fun and entertaining. Definitely...
