So my husband and I decided to come here and try it out. When we got there they seemed really busy. We waited in front so we could order. We waited for a few minutes and had no verbal communication. Not a "Hi, we will be right with you", or "Hello, if you can give me one minute while I fill out this out." Finally, the cashier said, "How may I help you?" and we were saying our order, and he interrupted and told us it's better to do it at the "kiosk. " ....It's a screen where you can self order. So my husband and I looked at each other and went. As we entered our order and paid, The guy tells another customer that they are behind, and it will take 30 minutes for the orders. My husband was annoyed because if we had known, we could have just gone somewhere else. He told the cashier , "Why didn't you tell us that?" The cashier said that he did say it could be 30 minutes to us earlier. IF he did, then it should have been better communicated because we only heard where to go to order. We waited, and he got the haloumi bacon cheese, and I got the Mexican shawarma also included zaa'tar fries. Fries were 2/10 .. soggy, and I ate a bad fry. It tasted rotten. My mexican shawarma was bland. My husband halloumi bacon shawarma was nothing special. Honestly, I'm not impressed. It's heavy, and I thought it would be more refreshing like other shawarma or burritos. I'm disappointed. I really thought it was going to be good and excited since I see it often on social media. The company should help and expose the employees on how it should taste if the employees are not from that particular part of the world. It just wasn't good overall and won't be coming back. I think some training on customer service and efficient communication as well as improving...
Read moreAs a long-time patron of Shelby, it pains me to witness the decline in the quality of their legendary chicken wrap over the past two years. Once a reliable spot for a satisfying meal, the recent experiences have left much to be desired.
One of the most glaring issues is the inconsistency in the preparation of their saj bread. On multiple occasions, I've found it to be undercooked, lacking the desired texture and flavor that once made it a standout dish. It's disheartening to see such a fundamental component of their menu fall short.
Moreover, the excessive use of over-the-top sauces further detracts from the overall dining experience. While a touch of sauce can enhance a dish, the heavy-handed application at Shelby overwhelms the palate and masks any subtleties in flavor.
Despite understanding that rush hours can lead to longer wait times, the prolonged delays coupled with a decline in quality are difficult to overlook. As a customer, I prioritize the quality of the product above all else, and it's disconcerting to see this standard slip over time.
Reflecting on past visits, there's a stark contrast to the experience I once enjoyed. Their legendary wrap used to be a highlight of the menu, boasting impeccable taste and texture. However, the current state of affairs leaves much to be desired.
Shelby's decline in quality over the past two years is undeniable. While it may have been acceptable in the past, the current standard falls short of expectations. As a loyal customer, I hope to see improvements in the future to regain the trust and...

After hearing of this place through word of mouth and seeing their ads online, I have been wanting to try it out. I finally had the chance to order some take out after work this week. I definitely enjoyed the food and for sure will be coming back.
My wife and I ordered 2 shawarma bowls. One small chicken shawarma bowls for her and one legendary beef and lamb shawarma bowl for me. Love that we are able to customize each bowl (adding or removing items / ingredients) on the self-ordering kiosk located at the front of the restaurant. Although it was busy and there are limited seating in the establishment, we did not wait long for our orders. The cashier noticed and asked if it is our first time trying their food and hoped that we enjoyed our meal as she gave our order. Atmosphere & service: 4 out of 5.
We did enjoy the food when we got home, the meat to side ratio was perfect. I ordered rice and fries with my beef & lamb shawarma and everything was cooked and seasoned well. The spicy garlic sauce that I opted for and all the other sides (pickled turnips, onions, tomatoes, peppers, etc.) complimented everything so well. The meat was juicy and packed with flavour, the fries were crispy even being under everything, and the rice cooked and seasoned to perfection soaking up all the good stuff udnerneath....
