Stumbled upon this place as I was in the area running errands. I was craving sushi, and saw sushi2go was one of the sushi options in the area. We had a minor issue during dinner, when the server came out with the wrong order of sushi. We had told her we ordered a different roll, and she advised us she mistakenly made a mistake when she punched in our order. She let us know she would get the chef to make a new one. We felt bad, and didn't want sushi to go to waste so we said not to worry and we would eat the roll they mistakenly made. She offered us 50% off the roll, which wasn't needed but she felt bad. To our surprise she came back with a side of butterfish on the house. I just wanted to say thank you sushi2go for the pleasant dinning experience, and going...

Five months ago, I would have rated this a 4.5 star

I went today and realized that the royal york and bloor location did renovations...the place looks slightly better. Unfortunately, the food was surprisingly lackluster. It was tasteless compared to what i remembered five months. Everything from the batter of the tempura, to the sweetness of the bulgogi sauce was bland. I'm assuming that this is direct result of the cost of the renovations impeding on food costs. Sure, you have a slightly better looking location (now with a separate take out station and better looking tables), but what's the point of the renovations if the food quality takes a hit. I'm hoping this a fluke one-off, but given how expensive Sushi 2 Go is, I'll probably not be...

I truly dislike when my reviews aren’t positive. Not only because i wasted my money but also because I know how hard pandemic has been on business owners. However, I can only talk about my experiences. Mine this time really wasn’t that great and it surprised me because most reviews here are indeed good. Staff was very pleasant and 0 complaints about them. As for the food, it had no taste other than avocado. The most plain sushi I’ve had and I picked a “spicy” one. The pieces are so big and its extremely hard to chew -almost the size of my hand, photo attached. It just felt like I was eating a piece of plastic, it was dry and no flavour at all. Disappointed and ended not eating it. I had the crispy “spicy”...

First time patron - I’m impressed! I mean, who wouldn’t fall for this sweet seasonal artistry, hand-drawn (notice the little ♥️?) ?! Notable: Unagi nigiri - very well executed. Everything was good. And great service, food was made to order and ready within 15mn for takeout. Extra added touch: a thin plastic film wrapping on top of the Tobiko so it does not roll off during transport - which definitely served its purpose, as the Tobiko was generously piled on high. I will be back.

Ordered the sashimi/bulgolgi (BB11) and maki/tempura (BB2) bento boxes. Service was prompt and polite and the restaurant was clean. Food was good overall, sashimi pieces were fairly good size, the tempura shrimp are black tiger shrimp I believe hence the length, bulgolgi was good. The miso soup was not that flavourful, seemed watered down and the edamame could be stemmed longer are my only complaints. Good value overall.
