Swiss Chalet — Restaurant in Toronto

Basirat was our server last night (Oct 16,2024). As a person she was amazing, such a lovely human being. As a waitress she wasn't the greatest. In the beginning it was okay, she came she took our orders & drinks & brought it to us which the food was delicious btw. After we were served we ate, again she came to collect the dishes & never came back. We wanted to order desert & that's where our experience went from a 10 to a 1. She left us unattended for a good hour, it wasn't until we started to get someone's attention that she remembered about us. We could have easily just left the restaurant without paying for our food b/c that's how unattentive she was. Anyways, she came back to us at 9pm which is when we asked for a refill & finally ordered desert & ofc she took our orders but she had also told us she was finished at 9. So if she was finished at 9 why did it take her so long to come attend us again? If I were her I would have already come by asked if we wanted anything else & then brought us our check. I have had several pleasant experiences at this particular location & I have chosen this location over all other locations around my residence just for the high level of service & attention to detail. I recently had a very horrible experience where my wife had been completely disrespected & ignored as if she was not even there by our server who made us feel rushed to eat and leave. After speaking to the manager/owner Sam who felt so bad he refunded our meal & invited us back at a later date as his personal guests in order to keep us as loyal customers. 3 weeks later ( Sept. 16 2014 ) we took Sam up on on his offer to give them 1 more chance to show us how much they value their customers. Sam had appointed his best waitress Ruth to be our server and she had shown us a higher level of service then we had ever had there before. Much to our surprise Sam had ordered their famous apple donuts ( which are absolultly amazingly good) for us as our desert which were delivered to our table so fresh we had to wait for them to cool down to eat them. Ty Sam and Ruth for having us as your personal guests for dinner & u have completely restored our faith and loyality to Swiss Chalet at 1077 Wilson...

Went there for early dinner today we ordered 2 chicken tacos and Perogies I pointed at the picture and asked the waitress to give us salad on the picture with ranch dressing so she brought us Caesar salad my husband said it ok for him but I don’t like Caesar salad so I reminded her I wanted the salad on picture not Caesar salad so she showed up with cesar salad with ranch dressing on the side I look at her and said I didn’t order Caesar salad I wanted the one in the picture as I asked from the beginning with ranch dressing so she left came back with the right salad slammed it on the table said garden salad I looked at her and said this is what I ordered from the beginning but it was too late I already finished my dinner didn’t eat the salad we will never ever go back to this location She needs customers service training I hate people like her if we don’t eat there guess what you are out of a job...... don’t go to...
