August 2, 2019 lunch visit.
Had 7 survey codes to redeem for 6adults+1child (only 2 of us lined up, the others were in the 2 cars that were parked in front), but I only had 1 receipt left since the rest got washed in my jeans pockets.
A crew in black outfit (Gemmalyn) declined my 7 free whoppers even after she asked for proof of the survey done online (which I showed the screenshots on my phone). She had a 2nd opinion from a regularly dressed crew member (Vivian M.) who was very firm on declining me. I explained everything and Gemmalyn was very technical about my having only 1 receipt instead of 7 separate receipts despite seeing all 7 codes on my screenshots. Then she said she will accept it now but not next time, I thought all is well but she said the system won't accept the the multiple codes. Told her to bill me 7 separate times but she insisted the system won't accept. U mean to tell me the rest of the day the system won't accept any more codes?
I said her name & Vivian's name while typing it down. Vivian heard it and asked why. Gemmalyn said that I will complain. Then Vivian said "Oh sure, my last name is M.A.R. etc". Then "Would you also like my phone number?". WOW.... A VERY VERY RUDE CREW MEMBER INDEED! THE WORST BK CREW MEMBER THAT I'VE MET. And I'm 99% sure she is Filipino....what a shame because Filipinos are known for their hospitality and professionalism.
We ended up paying in full. We chose BK instead of my out-of-town's guests for Tim Hortons because I was happy to show them what a great program BK had with rewarding customers for surveys, yet was such a epic fail. I saw the manager (Joseph) and I told him briefly how I was given such a difficult time by Gemmalyn and Vivian (esp Vivian being super rude), and to prove my point, I asked him if Vivian's last name started with MAR - which he affirmed. This proved that she really did spell out her last name for me (without my asking), to antagonize me further. I added that I've been a loyal BK customer for so many years and this is the worst BK branch ever, and that I won't come back here. He asked me to wait a few mins and went to the back, but my orders were fully served shortly so we walked back to our cars.
Then I saw him come out of the branch, so I got down to talk to him more. He apologize again and assured me he will "talk to them about this". Then he gave me 4 meal coupons as appeasement for my visit and added that he hopes that I will still come back to their branch. That appeasement may sway my decision to go back to their branch but giving their branch a negative review is another matter altogether.
THERE IS NO PLACE FOR SARCASTIC, UNPROFESSIONAL & VERY RUDE CREW MEMBERS IN BURGER KING..... PERIOD !

Waited for almost 20 minutes with my mobile order which was done before I arrived there. If we were there first, seeing how many people were crowned close to the front counter waiting for their food then we would have left like some others. I asked for a refund but was told not possible & that our food would be there very soon.
When we first walked inside, all the tables, most of the chairs and the floor were dirty. Garbage was overflowing. One of the workers were on break while others operating the "system" like chickens without their hands! I know they were not all new staff but the way they collided with each other, repeating each others' work like they were working there on their very first day and unsupervised.
After getting my almost cold burger and undercooked fries, I asked for a small cup of water. I was told 25 cents. No sorry for the wait, the less than ok food, the bad customer service experience but 50 cents (fast and to the point - why couldn't they serve their food with such speed then?) I had to ask for extra extra extra napkins as we only got 2 pieces for the 2 meals. No lids, no straws, no napkins, no ketchup packages by the drink station. No ice for the drinks as well.
While eating, we saw 2 people walking out with the ice cream - small, shot and uninvited.
I can remember how busy McDs usually are and how fast we usually get our food. I rather spend $1 at McD for the ice cream than at BK as BK's ice cream looked like they only worth 30cents!

Read moreThis location is okay depending on who serves you st thd drive thru window. A few days ago I won the prize of getting a clueless server. I asked for spicy popcorn chicken and 2 side salads. I got NON spicy chicken which tasted like KFC batter and are EXTREMELY TINY, and I got ONE salad. I noticed that I only got one salad so I was able to pay and get my second, while still at the window. Unfortunately, I had not checked the chicken. This location does screw up VERY often. How can you not hear SPICY or the fact that I ordered TWO side salads And asked for the same dressing for BOTH? The senior staff member who is usually at the window is very diligent. She needs to get paid more and train the rest of them. Just listen to the customers. Also, don't tell me I mean Napkin when I asked for a SERVIETTE.
