I had drop by a cold winter day before heading home . I saw a full restaurant and as I enter the owner quickly let me know he was too busy and if I wanted an order to be made it will be over half hour . I contemplated and as not been able to dine out for awhile I reluctantly stayed and ask for suggestions on what to order .I was assured their hand pulled lamb noodle soup is the best choice . And so I agreed and I also ordered a few lamb skewers to tie me over . The skewers came around 15min after i ordered it was well flavored and I was famished so that combination made this a heaven sent manna . So my anticipation to have the recommended hand pulled lamb noodle jad finally arrived as said around 30 minutes after .So when I had been served the bowl of noodle I was rather astounded . This over anticipation was quickly diminished when I saw a bug bowl of soup and herbs. I was still hopeful perhaps the meal was just below the surfaced . But when searching for the food the noodles were the only thing I can salvage . So I proceed to have these fresh bouncy noodles . So as I ate I kept searching till ate the bottom I could almost missed a few bits and kernel of lamb and no more than 4 piece of tiny pea sized of lamb . It was like the excess pieces that was cut off after cleaning off a the trimmings. I was so disappointed but I wasn't able to complain as the owner was nowhere insight for me to ask for retribution . Any how I finally quickly ate the rest of well cooked and tasty noodle soup but I felt I should t have paid full price for maily...
Read moreSeems like a family run restaurant. Interior design can use some work, but I could care less because the food trumped it. They speak Mandarin and English, and provide a Chinese and not so good translated English menu, to which the owner admitted the translation was bad. She was very nice and offered help if needed for ordering anything as my partner and I can't read or speak Mandarin. Regardless, we managed to order what we wanted and I was pleasantly surprised.
We ordered the following: stir fry cumin lamb, pork Tang's burger, spicy cold noodle salad, lamb skewers, and biang biang noodles (has lamb and bok choy).
I expected the food to be as salty as it looks, but no. Everything, especially the deadly looking biang biang noodles, was wonderfully balanced in spicy and salt. The noodles are hand pulled, bouncy, chewy and is the best I've had. Lamb in all the dishes was well seasoned. Their spicy chili oil condiment has good flavour and mildly spicy. Pork Tang's burger was very juicy, but the bread is on the thicker side to my liking. Nevertheless, delicious food all around....
Read moreDelicious shaanxi food. Menu provided was in Chinese only (you’d need to come with someone who can speak the language!). Must try the lamb soup (A1A) and Rou Jia Mo (Chinese burger, A16). The rou jia mo was the BEST I’ve had from anywhere so far - it was delicious with a juicy meat and jalapeno filling, with a tasty crispy crust. Everything else we ordered was decently tasty as well.
We came later at night so they ran out of liangpi which was one of the things we wanted to try. Prices were decent for everything with exception to the lamb skewers. The skewers were very overpriced, I would avoid ordering that.
Service was good - owner was very friendly and came out with the food quickly. They also provided napkin and tea refill proactively upon noticing we were...
