Before arriving, there was a "be back in 40 minutes sign" on the door at 7pm. I understand workers need a break, however, there were two employees.
It would have been more efficient to write what time they started the break because there were people standing outside waiting and wondering when we could go in. A lot of us were there to purchase for the Final Fantasy Collaboration.
If you had two employees, why couldn't the schedule have accommodated in the way that the business stayed open with one employee taking the break first and then the second employee taking the break after like most other locations instead of completely shutting down?
When ordering, the server did not tell us that there was a free toppings promotion. It wasn't until I asked for points to be added to my gongcha account that we saw the promotion, but because we had already paid, we weren't eligible for the promotion. Also, because my account couldn't be found, no points were added and we didn't want to make the 10+ people wait behind us for me to either sign up for a new account and figure out all the...
Read moreGong Cha has definitely gone down in quality since their hay days. I went on December 23rd at around 10 pm with a few of my friends for take out. Many items on the menu were out of stock, which given the timing, is understandable. The staff looked miserable and did not want to be there - their mood reflected how they looked. Drinks were awful - I ordered a passionfruit mango tea with bubbles at 50% sugar level; it was unshaken/unmixed, leaving a SLUDGE of passionfruit sludge. Drink was room temperature. I usually order drinks without ice but I imagine most places would filter the drink through the cap with ice to make sure it is cold - nope, these guys definitely did not care about their product. Most of my friends did not enjoy their drinks either. My recommendation folks? There are so many places in the area, why bother wasting your money on something Gong Cha has clearly already given up on while others are trying to improve their branding; for reference, look at the abysmal presentation of their drink... it looks like something out of a second rate food stall at a 3rd rate...
Read moreGongcha Midland store is an outstanding place to get your bubble tea fix. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a friendly smile and welcoming ambiance. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, making it easy to navigate their extensive menu and choose the perfect drink for your taste buds.
The drinks themselves are absolutely delicious. The flavors are bold and authentic, and the ingredients are always fresh. My personal favorite is the matcha latte with pearls - it's the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness, and the pearls add a delightful chewy texture.
The store is always impeccably clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasure to spend time there. And if you're in a hurry, the service is speedy and efficient, so you can grab your drink and go without feeling rushed.
Overall, I highly recommend Gongcha Midland store to anyone looking for high-quality bubble tea in a warm and welcoming environment. They truly deserve every one of...
