Tata Hot Sauce Emporium — Restaurant in Toronto

So... I was hungry sitting on the TTC 23 Bus, “Dawes Road bus” and we were pulling up to the stop at Rexleigh Drive and St Clair Avenue. I’d seen the sign for Tata’s many times passing by: but with this new presto system- I figured it wouldn’t cost me any extra to get off to go in and see what it was about... my experience..

Wow! Just wow... it’s actually hard to put into words... but I’ll give it my best shot and I will try..

Top notch quality at a generously affordable price! In fact; I felt like I robbed the place... Heaven in my mouth- the chicken just melted in my mouth- I highly recommend the medium pineapple hot sauce on any sandwich- I can see why it’s award winning! It’s amazing...

No longer just passing by- I’m forever getting off and looking to become a loyal customer!

The guy that runs it is such an awesome, nice, down to earth guy: but also a hard worker... try any of the food and you can see he can back up his talk!

This is a place I will send my children and my children’s children and all the generations that follow! I Love this hot sauce- I feel like I’m complete and living life up to its fullest with this...

Drove a bit of a distance (OK...not too far...from North York) to try Tata's food following the recommendation by a certain food writer for our public broadcaster! The destination did not disappoint. What struck me first, even before I bit into anything, was the warmth and cheery disposition of the owner, Odaine (and the woman who took my order was also very friendly). Odaine is very welcoming and it seems he really appreciates all his customers. Now for the food: yummy! I ordered the patties in all flavours (spicy beef, mild beef, chicken and vegetable) to bring home for my kids. I also ordered jerk chicken sandwiches and a deluxe sandwich with the vegetable patty. Wanted to try the soup, but by mid-afternoon, he had sold out. The sandwiches were excellent, and i really enjoyed the coco bread. I also took home three different sauces. So far I have only opened the Tata X-rated, which was just the right amount of heat and had a nice texture (some hot sauces are too runny...but not this one). I would definitely recommend Tata and will be making the drive...

OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE EATTING HERE. ITS LIKE A HIDDEN JEM IN OUR CITY EVERY ONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT. THE OWNER TATA IS SO NICE AND FRIENDLY. I'VE SEEN HOW HE INTERACTS WITH THE SCHOOL KIDS THAT GO IN TO HIS SHOP. HE IS PATIENT WITH THEM AND EVEN HELPS THEM OUT SOMETIMES IF THEY ARE LOW ON MONEY OR MAYBE JUST NEED A DRINK TO GO WITH THEIR ORDER. H REMEMBERS HIS CUSTOMERS NAMES AND MAKES YOU FEEL WELCOME AS SOKN AS YOU ENTER HIS STORE. OK LETS TALK ABOUT THE FOOD. HIS PATTIES ARE ALWAYS HOT AND FRESH. THE PATTIE DELUXE IS SO YUMMY AND FILLING PERFECT FOR A QUICK LUNCH. BUT LET TALK ABOUT HIS JERK CHICKEN SANDWICH ITS TO DIE FOR ITS FULL OF FLAVOR AND GOONESS. YOU CAN CHOICE WITCH OF HIS HOT SAUCES YOU WANT ON YOUR SANDWICH OR PATTIE DELUXE. MY FAVORITE IS THE ONE WITH PAPAYA IN IT. OVER ALL I SEE BIG THINGS FOR TATA AND HIS STORE.
