Food: 5 Stars Service: 3 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Value: 4 Stars Overall: 4 Stars Ten Ren's Tea is a well-known name in the world of tea, and this particular location does not disappoint. My visit here was primarily to satisfy a craving for bubble tea, and I was delighted to find that they offer tea tasting as well, which is a lovely touch for those who appreciate the finer nuances of tea. The fact that their bubble tea is made with real steeped tea is a significant plus, as it imparts a rich, authentic flavour that stands out compared to other places where the tea can sometimes taste watered down. One of the standout drinks for me is their Taro Coconut Milk Black Tea, which comes with boba or tapioca. The use of real taro paste in this drink adds a deliciously creamy texture and authentic taro flavour that I haven't found elsewhere. It's these little details that make the difference and elevate the overall experience. Another feature I appreciated was their self-order area, where you can place your order on a display touch screen. This is particularly great for those who might feel a bit shy about speaking with staff or simply prefer a quicker, more streamlined ordering process. The convenience of this option really adds to the grab-and-go nature of the shop, making it an ideal spot for a quick tea fix during a busy day. The service, while not exceptional, is decent. The staff are efficient and get the job done, though there isn't much in the way of extra friendliness or engagement. However, this might not be a drawback for everyone, especially if you’re just looking to get in and out quickly. Overall, Ten Ren's Tea is a solid choice for tea enthusiasts and bubble tea lovers alike. With its rich flavours, convenient self-ordering system, and a great selection of drinks, it’s definitely worth a visit. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quality tea experience on the go. kellychan360

I used to come here more in the past when they were the only bubble tea place around, but after getting to try other places like Coco's and GongCha, I have been avoiding this place. It tends to always have a long line and it is quite pricey, especially considering they only use powders and syrups. When I went to Yorkdale the other day, I was deciding between Yogen Fruz (they have real fruit smoothies and bubble tea) or Ten Ren and I decided to give Ten Ren another shot. There were only 3 people in front of me, but it took a good 10 minutes for them to get to me....and then I waited another 15 minutes just to get my drink. I was considering their normal milk tea, but they had a few special drinks, so I got the Tokyo Sakura drink with crystal 'Boba'. I was dissappointed. Ended up just tasting like sugar water. No real flavour. The Boba was also jelly, but I expected that as I tried a coconut water drink from Chatime which had the same thing but called it what it really was. There is also a Jugo Juice that has a Presotea in the middle of the mall, and a newer Chatime near the TTC entrance, so honestly, so you have much better and faster choices for bubble tea if you're in the mall.

For those who enjoy Taiwanese teas and juices, you'll definitely like this store. The store isn't large; its space is divided into self-service kiosks, a souvenir area with teas and tea-making utensils, and a beverage preparation area. Most household items are displayed on glass shelves, so if you need something, you'll need to call for service. The prices aren't very affordable. The drinks take a while to be ready, especially if the store is busy. You might have to wait about 15 minutes, and honestly, there's nothing much different from some stores in the same industry. However, it's worth the experience and trying new products. Because of the small space, it's a bit difficult to navigate, especially for those in wheelchairs or walkers. Be careful, as the tea boxes are displayed in the aisles.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Their customer services are the worst! We came to order 5 bubble teas and have to wait almost 30 minutes. There was only 1 barista and 1 cashier in the store. It would never be the case if the barista didn’t prioritize all the minor orders first. The Asian girl barista - also supervisor at the store - named Annie was doing everything in a slow pace and she made the order for the person came way later after us first. When we ask the reason for the long waiting, she answered that it was because that customer only ordered 1 and we ordered 5 so we have to wait until she finished all the minor ones first with a very rude attitude. She said it is how it is done here. She also said in Vietnamese that “We are being ridiculous and annoying”! We asked to speak with the store manager and she dared us to come back to meet him/her.

The other guy named Joshua also sided up with her without any sorry to us for the long wait. Although his action was not acceptable but the responsibilities are always on the supervisor. Bad attitude supervisor causes bad customer service systems in general.

I was also a supervisor in other restaurant and I knew how everything should be and the way everything could be done.

This will absolutely be our first and last time here. NEVER return! Very...
