July 27, 2025: 2nd visit 4/5 stars

The Banana Pudding Milkshake was good. It had good consistency and actually tasted like banana pudding. Would definitely recommend if you like banana pudding in a milkshake.

The Crinkle Fries with Bacon, Cheese and BBQ sauce was good. The fries were crispy and went well with the bacon, cheese and BBQ sauce. Only complaint is the wooden 2 prong fork cutlery, to pick up the crinkle fries, sucks. You easily puncture through the crinkle fries with this fork making it a balancing act in picking up the crinkle fries.

— Feb 25, 2025: 1st visit 3/5 stars The food at Shake Shack was okay :/

The ShackBurger (single burger) was okay. The burger was small and mediocre. It lacked seasoning. The veggies and sauce were good. The best part of this burger was the soft bun.

The Crinkle Cut Fries were okay. The fries were not as crispy as we expected.

The Fifty/Fifty drink (half lemonade / half unsweetened iced tea) was a miss. The lemonade part was good. The iced tea part was okay. Mixing the two would have been good but we got far more iced tea than lemonade in our drink (see picture).

The Strawberry Classic Shake was good. It had a good smooth consistency and was not too thick. It also had a good ratio of strawberry, milk and ice cream to make this...

We went to Yorkdale, so we wanted to try the new Shake Shack. We first tried one of their burgers in Japan 2 years ago, and it was as delicious as everyone told us it would be. The fries were also great. So I was a bit concerned that the taste wouldn’t live up to the hype. I was pleasantly surprised. Since it is a smash burger, it has an excellent caramelized outer crust…such a nice crispy texture with so much flavour. It didn’t look huge so I think I’d get a double patty next time though, since I was still a bit hungry. The fries were also tasty since they were a bit crispy and lightly salted. A friend had a vanilla shake and they said it was great. I definitely think the overall meal was great. Plus I was very impressed by the service. A nice woman was cleaning the tables and I noticed she spent a few minutes talking to an older man…she was so kind and made his day. Plus she mentioned that if we wanted a refill on our pop, she’d get it for us…nice that you can continue to eat, but get a refill on your drinks. The cashier wasn’t that friendly, but I guess she wasn’t having a great day. They only had a single pump for dispensing the ketchup and one for the mustard, so it would be nice if they added an extra one. Yet, this wouldn’t change our minds…we definitely...

I underdstand why people are complaining about the food, to be honest it was a bit on the bland and dryer side for their regular beef patty. However, I didnt mind it I actually enjoyed how soft the burger was and the chicken burger was a lot bigger and thicker (husband liked the chicken burger better). My mom, dad and husband all found it really bland and thought Harveys burger is better.

My only issue was the beef burger is REALLY small and too expensive, I was still very hungry after. The patty itself was so thin and bun was small. My husband and I got 2 burgers (1 beef and 1 chicken) and a milkshake to share and he almost ate everything because of how hungry he was and barely left any for me. I even had some of my parents fries and chicken nuggets and I was still hungry. Even McDonalds McDouble + Fries can fill me up better than this and McDouble isnt even a big burger to me. Not sure why a burger place doesnt have combo orders and you have to order fries and drinks seperately, it makes everything so expensive. The fries were almost $5 and you barely get anything. Fries in my opinion are definitely NOT worth getting. The milkshake is good, we got the cookies n creme, so if you love milkshakes definitely...

I had tried Shake shack a couple of years ago in the US I believe it was San Francisco Airport We loved the fries and the burger My first visit to the shake shack Yorkdale Which opened up like a week ago was today I ordered two Shack Stack™ Angus beef cheeseburger topped with a 'Shroom Burger and Fries The food presentation burgers wasn’t great Looked messy and rushed bun was kind of squished (Most likely learning curve) The fries looked ok So I found the burger way to greasy this could have been due to the breaded and deep fried portobello mushroom and the cheese The fries looked good however maybe growing/ Learning curve some fries had way to much salt I was happy to dip them in the ketchup just to cut the salt taste a bit The ordering process is straightforward put your order into the terminal pick up a numbered pager input the pager number and name will appear on the screen so you can follow your order progress when completed your pager will go off and the screen will display your Name pager number and Ready As for the price $46 for the two Burgers and fries not much to say about that everything is so expensive these days We dined in everything related to that was fine
