The Galway Arms Irish Pub and Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

Writing about this pub mainly because of the poor service received. Shocked that there was only 1 person serving 10 groups. This establishment needs to stop being so stingy and hire more servers!

Server never came to the table. I had to flag the server down myself after about 15 minutes of waiting Table was wobbly and I had to fix it myself. My friend originally ordered some apple cobbler pie. It was very mushy and terrible! After ordering my drink, I wanted to order some snacks and the server never even warned us of last call beforehand. Because of that we couldn't even order any food Second round of drinks I had to again walk and find the server To pay, again I had to hunt and find the server as it was clear she would never check up on our table.

In conclusion, the service was atrocious where we were totally ignored. The apple cobber pie was one of the worst I've ever had Atmosphere was mediocre at best, but at least I was able to have a nice chat with my buddies.

What a fantastic venue. It looks, sounds, and feels like an Irish pub. Because it is. The traditional Irish stew was incredible and spot-on. The fries are excellent and crispy - some of the best I've had in the city.

As of the writing of this review, the wings are actually the best I've had - and I eat a LOT of wings. The sauce is the perfect combination of tangy/spicy/sweet and has an excellent vinegar balance. The wings themselves are perfectly crispy on the outside despite being sauced and very tender on the inside while being completely cooked. This is how I like my wings - and this is how I will be getting my wings for the foreseeable future.

It's all pub fare, but it's Irish pub fare, and they clearly know how to make it the right way! Only thing missing for me would be a live band - maybe they have one on another night of the week (I'd not be surprised) and if they do - I'll find out because I'm definitely going back.

I’ve been meaning to leave this review for quite some time now but better late than never, right? On behalf of my husband and I, we want to thank the amazing staff and owner, whose name I believe was Mike, for hosting our wedding gathering after our civil at Toronto’s city hall on June 22nd 2024. We had initially planned to do a small backyard celebration with family and friends but leading up to the date, the weather forecast had us scrambling for a plan B and to our luck, Mike was totally cool with having us show up with 30 something people on Saturday afternoon! It was great time and everything came full circle given we had our very first date here. So thanks a million for the wonderful service that day!
