It is not often that I need to contemplate how to structure a review. This experience begins with a group of us placing close to a $400 order to be delivered on a week day for lunch. The order was placed through Ubereats delivery, being told the driver was enroute and will arrive in about an hour’s time, we were in shock as our order was cancelled within minutes due to arrive. Calling the restaurant we were told it was the driver that cancelled the order and that we would need to reorder the entire order again. I was the only person who decided to reordered from the group. Himalayan Malai Masala Beef Momo, Afghani Chicken Momo, Butter Chicken Momo I must say are the stars of the order. Momos were large and filled with meat, juicy and each sauce came with distinct flavours reflective of their region. Each sauce thick and wonderfully balanced in spice, savoury, and textured as it clung to each Momo. Fish Chili was highly enjoyed and Chicken Manchurian was average with a sweet and sour based sauce. Both the Fish Chili and Chicken Manchurian came with plain steamed rice which is good, but overall the portions were on the small side. Chicken Chow Mein was the average Hakka or Chinese chow mein ordered from any Asian restaurant. The texture/cook of the noodle though was perfect but lacked the smokey wok hei/flavour people seek when ordering out. The hot sauce is much like the texture and flavour of of a sriracha. I do not know if I recommend this to be ordered through Ubereats, as the total came to over $120 for six small dishes. If I was picking up, I would focus on ordering Momos. Service was disappointing as the handling of the delivery cancelled by a delivery driver, was rather a “matter of fact “ attitude, and was informed to “just place the order again” 2 hours from the original order time, so the order then arrived almost 3.5 hours from the original order time. Noted this is an Ubereats issue, but observing the way it was handled by the restaurant was very...
Read moreI dare you to scroll through to the end without drooling 🤤 momos have always had a special place in my heart since I was a kid, reminds me of home ❤️
For those of you who don’t know what a momo is, they’re normally steamed dumplings filled with meat and vegetables originating from Tibet, they’re very popular across India and it’s Himalayan regions 😍
The ones we tried were specialty momos that are the adapted street versions found all over India 🇮🇳
What we got:
Butter Chicken Momos - Steamed chicken dumplings doused in thick creamy butter chicken sauce, this is definitely a flavourful choice that isn’t too spicy if you want that balance 😍
Pan Fried Chicken Momos - Lightly fried dumplings with your choice of protein. These dumplings were juicy and delicious 😍
Delhi Masala Momos - Lightly fried dumplings in a spicy Himalayan sauce, they were super fragrant and topped with a mint chutney. This one is for you spice lovers 😍🌶
Fried Momos - Deep fried momos with your choice of protein. Loved these dumplings, the meat was flavourful (we chose beef) and came in a yummy crispy shell 😍
Mumbai Mango Mojito - An Indian take on a mango mojito filled with tangy Indian spices to help digest all that yummy food 😍
Masala Coke - You guessed it! A spiced up Coca Cola to aid in digestion and wash down all that amazing food 😍
Overall I had a great experience at Momo 2 go, they even had an app that made ordering super quick and easy. Their staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting what to try! They had so many more flavours and specialty momos I wanted to try lol but we will be back so we can sample more of their expansive menu 😍 go check them...
Read moreI have been the customer of Momo2Go since 2023 and it’s had been my safe goto place.
I have been ordering with them of phone and app as well. On Friday the 18th, I had placed order via app as always. The Chilli Panner wasn’t the same as I have been ordering and the taste was different. I called and told the restaurant about it and a lady employee who is new face at the QueensWay branch picked the call who was same who gave me the package when I picked the food.
At my first call the staff told me will get back to me and never did. When I called to follow up asked me to send the picture. And never got back. After a wait of almost 2 hours I called back and employee accused me of eating all the food and sending the picture of few pieces of panner. Got into a heated argument and mentioned to come pick the new batch now in rude tone. Of course I had to give to back in a sense able way as the food was for 4 people 😏.
Something the restaurant should look into is: When someone orders food for 100 plus dollars why would they spend time on call for 16 CAD chilli Panner?
When a food is brought home do we eat in the box or serve to humans in the house and taste it?
Look at the customer history when you have the account access and details as well.
Why would someone come and pick tha food on the restaurant orders?
Long story short, it all could have all been resolved in a refund of 1 portion of the order and I would have still been your customer.
Really disappointed in the management and the staff for...
