This review is based on several deliveries from The Greek Grill. Atmosphere gets a 5/5 because calls in to the restaurant have always been pleasant and professional. Lovely people work at this local establishment that's been around for years.
Located near Pape and O'Connor, the Greek Grill is a great Greek restaurant if you want cozy comfort home cooked food. For delivery to your home, you can do so through the regular apps or you can save quite a few dollars and call in the restaurant to order. They also do catering for larger events (think birthday parties or celebrations). Portions are very generous.
Images provided feature a few of their signature meal items. Large pork souvlaki dinner and large chicken souvlaki dinner - we opted for rice and potatoes for both meals.
The chicken and pork were both tender and flavourful - savory with signature Greek flavours but not too salty and grilled well but not burnt. Some people like their pork souvlaki to come in big gigantic pieces but I prefer the smaller chunks. To me, these seem more flavourful (more surface area for the seasoning to do its magic!). The rice and potatoes are delicious (tomato based). The flavour has soaked in quite nicely into the potatoes - yum!
We also really love their Greek baked beans - rich and flavourful baked beans in a tomato based sauce, they are loved by the entire family.
When you order your meals, Greek Grill also provides you with complimentary breads (not shown in the images, totally forgot!). Depending on the day, you might get toasted pita or toasted sesame buns with light garlic butter. It honestly doesn't matter which one you get. Both are delicious and go well with the meal. You can dip it into the sauces or into the tzatziki that comes with the meals.
We've had Greek Grill several times and have never had an issue with the food. This continues to be our go - to place when we're in the mood for some...

From the moment I walked into THE GREEK GRILL, I knew I was in for something special. The warm, welcoming atmosphere immediately stood out—the restaurant is spotlessly clean, beautifully arranged, and has a charming mix of modern and traditional Greek decor that gives it a cozy, authentic feel. Every corner reflected the care and pride the owners clearly put into their place.
Now onto the real star—the food. Amazing doesn’t even begin to cover it. Every bite transported me straight to a homemade Greek kitchen. The flavors were rich, comforting, and packed with that nostalgic, home-cooked taste you rarely find outside of family gatherings.
The chicken sticks was incredibly tender and juicy, seasoned perfectly with that signature Greek flair. The pork sticks followed suit—succulent, flavourful, and grilled just right, with a smoky char that added the perfect finishing touch. And the pork kontosouvli? Simply unforgettable. The meat was fresh, the meat cooked to perfection, and the whole thing was bursting with flavor in every bite.
Equally impressive was the front-of-house crew. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. It’s rare to find such a perfectly run team—every interaction felt warm and personal.
THE GREEK GRILL is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. If you’re looking for incredible food that tastes like it came straight from a Greek home kitchen, served by a team who clearly love what they do, you absolutely need to visit. I’ll...
Read moreThe Greek Grill is a place I drive past on my way to work several times a month, depending on traffic. On most mornings, I've noticed that they have a food truck as well. I've always wondered what their food is like.
Well, today I decided to give them a try for dinner. It wasn't very busy when I arrived around 6:30pm-ish. It did get busier when I was leaving though.
Their menu has lots of choices but I usually judge a Greek restaurant by the quality of their gyros, one of my favourite dishes. Souvlaki is my next favourite. While a lot of people are probably saying that's not real Greek food, they're still my favourite dishes.
Unfortunately, they were sold out of gyros. What? How? It must be good! Darn! Back to the menu...
I decided to try the grilled quail, a stick of souvlaki, and an order of Greek fries.
The fries arrived first, with a generous heaping of feta cheese on top, oregano, and their signature lemon and olive oil marinade. It looked good. It tasted good!
The meat dishes arrived shortly after, looking quite good. They both came with generous portions of delicious tzatziki. Yes!
The souvlaki was tasty, and a great value for only $2.85. It had good flavour and was properly cooked.
The grilled quails, two for $12, were a very good value, and very tasty. They were cooked just right, with some crispy bits in the right places. The seasoning was spot on! Good dish!
Overall, the food was very good, without the hustle and bustle of nearby Greek Town. I may just have to detour...
