Golden Pizza Geo — Restaurant in Toronto

This was my pizza place for many of my family members and from my husband and our own children for probably 20 years. Then years later, my son discovered it and said mom gonna try this pizza and I told, we used to pick up pizza there 34 times a week, but he wasn’t born yet it was only with my other children. Then we started delivery again to our apartment And it was my son’s favourite pizza . I said it wasn’t that. It was my favourite pizza. It was my only pizza, but it was absolutely the best. This place has been around forever everything about them, Blessed. They are a legacy in East York and serve this community forever with the best pizza I’ve had other things there too, but it’s the pizza that I have. It is a family run business. It’s impeccably clean you feel like you’ve walked into your own mom or dad‘s kitchen. They treat you so well but it’s the quality of the pizza made with love they keep things simple. I even love the box that they use this is a really rare find and a unique place that only if you know it, you know it. Tonight I had moved back to my apartment and wanted something good to eat. I was on my bike and I thought I don’t wanna go down to the Danforth what else And I remembered Golden Pizza I rode my bike up and bought the largest pizza. I could enjoy the conversation while I waited for it to be cooked and thoroughly enjoyed it when I got home as my son would say it is the best pizza ever! Did I mention the bathrooms and the basement are impeccably clean that tells you everything it tells you they care about their business and their customers and it’s just simple class with an exceptional quality product. I First came here 43 years ago. It’s been a About 2 1/2 years since I had their pizza and I don’t know why what happened that I wasn’t ordering their pizza. Tonight was an absolute treat and they’re going to be the only place I’ll be ordering any food from again. Life is funny! I had comfort food tonight!...

Editing my review to remove a star: Ordered a pizza for my kids through the website and was charged on my credit card. Walked with my kids for 20 mins to pick up the pizza only to see a notice on the door saying they are closed for a month. Now reading other reviews it looks like they were shut down for sanitation reasons?? I was quite bothered as it was hot out and my 3 year old was complaining and hungry. We obviously had to go somewhere else that could feed these kids quick. I am shocked they would not update their website with this information that they were shut down. I wonder how many others have also ordered online and got disappointed. I still see the charge on my credit card so I need to go dispute that now. How disappointing that such a good place that I gave a great review to before and was returning to again would be so disorganized to not make 2 second updates to a basic website. Not sure if I will order from them again now as my trust is right out the window. :(

Original review: Did a pickup order with my 2 young kids. The people there were some of the nicest I've ever met. The pizza itself was quite good. Lots of cheese and real cheese, not like the fake stuff from the cheap places. Pizzas weren't crazy fancy but perfect for kids. The food is appropriately priced for the quality at roughly $25/pizza for a large. More expensive than the cheap pizza pizza or dominoes and not as much as the wood fired places like Pi Co or Libretto. 2 larges fed our family of 4 with a couple of slices leftover. Would def give these guys my money again for the price point, quality, and how amazingly sweet and...

🗣 My order was NEVER CONFIRMED after being on hold for beyond numerous mins (I eventually hung up) yet my order was delivered (without CONFIRMATION from me) to my house by the owner John. He stated "you never confirm your orders", listen foolio, I ALWAYS CONFIRM MY ORDER AND MOST TIMES CALL BACK just to be sure. STOP the foolishness! This is all due to your lack of communication with staff...Bout "I will never deliver here again" while acting like a kid on my property after I refused the order. A "business man" that cares about his customers would simply get feedback, listen and then respond. Yet the service was always premium when GUS was taking care of business..I'm not beggy, play in traffic John! Your service went down when you took over. Again I would describe this place as sheer garbage since John the new owner has come into position...I personally preferred Gus. (putting me on hold like it's a personal line vs a business) this eeeediat (John) comes to my home and says he will never deliver again...thank you, I more then apprecaiate it. Gus knew his customers ,LISTENED and was beyond professional. I never once had issues with Gus like this but since your juvenile I'll treat you just like one that should be latched 👶. RIP...
