If you have a serious allergy, DO NOT come here. They do not take allergies seriously and today they nearly killed me because of it.
When I arrived, the restaurant wasn’t busy—barely any customers, and no orders being prepared. The staff were standing around talking. I told the cashier my order exactly: “I would like two BLTs, no tomatoes, extra bacon on both,” and a coffee. I was paying attention to my phone with my headphones on when the cashier asked, “Cash or card?” I was about to pay when I realized she was charging me for seven BLTs. When I pointed it out, she asked someone to void it, and then she asked me my order again. I repeated my order.
I ordered both BLTs the same way, clearly specifying no tomatoes. After a while, a different woman who was making my order handed me the bag and said one sandwich was “normal.” I told her that I actually ordered them both without tomatoes. The cashier who took my order turned around and insisted, “No, you did not.” I replied, “Yes, I did. I ordered them both the exact same because I’m allergic.” Then a third woman came over, agreeing with the original cashier, and said, “Okay, we’ll take the tomatoes off,” but she kind of muttered it under her breath while turning away. If I hadn’t taken my headphones off after she messed up the first time and heard that, I could’ve potentially died.
As a service worker myself, I don’t know how she was even hired. The moment I said I was allergic to tomatoes, that whole sandwich should’ve gone in the garbage. You cannot serve me something that is contaminated. I am severely allergic to tomatoes (think of a peanut allergy, but with tomatoes).
They usually mess up orders, but this time they could have seriously harmed me. After this experience, I no longer trust this restaurant.
They don’t take allergies seriously at all. It’s one thing if I hadn’t specifically said I was allergic, but I did. I used the words, “I...

They always mess up orders, and the atmosphere is awful. The place is filthy—missing ceiling tiles, stains everywhere, and doors so dirty I don’t want to touch them. Homeless people constantly walk around inside, going from person to person in line, and the staff never do anything.
I don’t want to be that person, but the mistakes happen so often because of the language barriers here most of the staff don’t seem to speak English as their first language. And at such a busy location, near schools, multiple construction sites, and apartments, you can’t have people struggling to understand basic orders. And by no means I’m I trying to demand these people, I was a fast food worker myself, but I’m also a resident of the building next to this place and it’s very frustrating to go here.
If I order two things at once nine times out of 10, they’re going to combine them…if I order a breakfast wrap and a hash brown I’ll find my hash brown in my wrap, or if I order a coffee and a tea, my tea will have coffee in it and I get mistakes happen I’ve made some myself, but every other time I get here my order is wrong and it wouldn’t be so upsetting if they didn’t gaslight you about their mistakes.
I work in the community and I have had multiple teams. Tell me that they have walked into apply here and that they have been told they are not hiring here so understaffed this place is not bad for making any type of effort to help the situation.

Read moreI recently visited Tim Hortons in Toronto and had an absolutely terrible experience. The customer service was abysmal, with the staff showing a complete lack of interest in helping me. I tried to take advantage of a promotional offer for a sandwich and coffee for $5.49, but the discount didn't work in the app. When I asked for assistance at the cashier, I was met with incompetence and apathy. The cashier was unable to resolve the issue and simply repeated the payment options without even attempting to address my concerns.
I was forced to pay almost $9 instead of the advertised $5.49, leaving me feeling ripped off and incredibly dissatisfied. The complete lack of willingness to assist customers is shocking and unacceptable. It's clear that the staff at this Tim Hortons have no regard for customer satisfaction or honoring their own promotions.
The level of service at this Tim Hortons is disgraceful and reflects poorly on the entire brand. I've never encountered such incompetence and indifference in any other establishment, even in third world countries. It's a shame that the people of Toronto have become accustomed to such substandard service. I will never be returning to this Tim Hortons and will be sure to share my negative experience with others. Avoid this location at all costs if you value good service...
