So, I am going to be completely honest here; I don't feel great about writing negatively about an old place with an authentic atmosphere, but I also think it is important to encourage a local spot to maintain the standards which have allowed the place to be open so long. With that being said, everything I ordered ended up being terrible. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza, a cheese burger, fries, chicken nuggets, and onion rings with gravy. I was impressed by the prices, it ended up being very affordable, which I appreciate a lot. The pizza was extremely bland, sparse on the pepperoni, and a little too doughy for me to believe it was cooked properly (I enjoy soft and fluffy crust pizza, but this ain't it). The fries had that unfortunate thing happen to them that home cooks know very well; if you squished or bit into it oil would come out - pretty unpleasant. The onion rings had an awful gritty texture to them which made one spit them out after biting into it. Chicken nuggets were obviously frozen, which isn't inherently wrong, but they had that funky freezer taste that makes you wince with every bite. The burger... well.... the meat was really unfortunate, the cheese was carelessly placed, the dressings in the burger added nothing. Caramelized onions where? And the pickles... The picture I have included is of the inside of the burger, at one point I took apart the two buns to take a look at the meat and found two different kinds of pickles. Establishments go through different pickle jars, and there is really no need to be wasteful; but the dish should have its own internal consistency, right? Ultimately, I don't want to give up on this place because there are so many positive reviews from the past, and it seems like a local fixture. I would love to come back in six months and be completely surprised. And, I'm willing to try that if Tony & Nicks Place is willing to make some changes. I'll be back and hopefully with kinder words. Regards.

We’ve ordered from here many times, both in store and from Uber Eats and always got the chicken sandwich as part of the order. We actually stopped getting California Sandwiches because we loved how it was a thick piece of juicy chicken rather than a thin cutlet. Today when we ordered immediately I could see the chicken was different. It’s clearly a processed piece of chicken like a chicken burger or something. It was multiple pieces in the sandwich and was tough and tasteless. I called the restaurant to see if maybe they had changed the product (so I know not to order from here again) or if maybe they just ran out of the regular chicken. Unfortunately I was told by the person on the phone that “this is the chicken we have always used, we haven’t changed anything”. I was also told “maybe the Uber driver switched it” (this is obviously not the problem here) and it just seemed as though the restaurant was not interested in taking an accountability. This was really disappointing as we’ve loved ordering from here for a long time but the customer service was horrible and we won’t be supporting them anytime soon.

If you’re looking for bougie Neapolitan pizza that gets graded by a food critics you took a wrong turn. This is a sanctuary for your inner 9-year-old. The slices pack a uppercut straight to the dopamine center of your brain. smack dab between Deep dish, Detroit & New York Style; Tony & Nick’s makes a pie that rivals Saturday morning cartoon pizza;with gooey cheese stretching into infinity, soft, powdery crust thats almost sweet it feels like cake pretending to be bread. It’s decadent, it’s ridiculous, it’s Ninja Turtle fuel. Come hungry, leave happy.

I was doing uber n had to pick up an order from here.. Honestly, I had to hold back from eating their food because it smelled so good! So I decided to go back! Man let me tell you it tasted AMAZING!! I ended up ordering a steak sandwich with Mushrooms and Onions.. Btw it comes with sauce not bbq sauce at first I thought it was Ketchup but once I bit into I was blown away even though I was SUPER Full (sandwhiches are LOADED) I had to try n finish it lol my fiancé was with me and he ordered the veal sandwich on a bun with Mushrooms and Onions along with 2 fresh slices of Pepperoni and cheese... I LOVED the veal on a bun, I had to try it lol I liked the fact that it wasn't soggy and he asked for extra sauce the breading on the veal was killer! You tasted it through the sauce (btw best sauce in the city if I could buy it I would! Sweet, not too thick just right!) it was honestly to die for! The pizza was great too however the only thing I would change is maybe have the fresh slices cooked a bit more to have a crispier bottom n more golden cheese.. But that's just my opinion.. The dough was super fluffy and oh sooooo good! And for the sandwhiches I would've preferred fresh Mushrooms over canned but again that's just my opinion... All and all I FKN LOVE THIS PLACE!! Lol I will DEFINITELY be going back!!!! Btw we decided to eat there be prepared to stand while you eat at the tables .. Personally I liked the idea! It's like in Italy, at the local pizza shops and at the time the washroom was out of order.. Just before we left we had to walk to the back to thank the chef! They were the BEST sandwhiches I've had.. ANYWHERE and I've been to California sandwhiches, San Fran foods, batondos, commisso and rustic bakery and this place blows them all out of the water! If your in the area please try this place out you won't be...

Terrible! If I could give them 0 stars I would. My mother (who does not speak English properly nor does she understand) and my little sister (12 years old who does not speaks my mothers first language at all and she switches from Portuguese to English with my mom so my mom always calls me when she doesn’t understand what she is saying) went to get 2 REGULAR HAMBURGERS but instead this rude lady gets them 2 meatball burgers. My sister goes back to let her know the order was wrong and she tells my sister NO and gives her a stupid cheeseburger “to make up for the situation?” My sister called me on the phone and told the lady I wanted to speak with her and she doesn’t want to because she knows exactly what she did. I call the actual restaurant and talk to her myself and she’s yelling at me rudely saying I’m the one being rude lol I was explaining the situation on how my mother and sister do not communicate properly with eachother because one doesn’t speak English and the other doesn’t speak Portuguese so whatever she said to my English speaking sister DID NOT get to my mothers ears! (Also at least try to communicate with your customer! Hamburger means A NORMAL HAMBURGER not gross meatballs on a bun) And I started getting mad and yes I have a right to raise my voice back as well and defend myself. She was the most rude, disrespectful disgusting person I have ever spoken to in my life. They paid for an order they didn’t want! Never coming back! That’s for sure And my mom has been a customer for yearsss now, about 20 Years now. Wow nice way to treat your customer...
