READ BEFORE VISITING.
Our visit to this restaurant was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable due to the tatted hostess’s demeanor. Several other reviews mention similar experiences, which makes it surprising that this issue has not been addressed.
Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the poor service. The chicken sandwich we ordered was severely undercooked — pink and gooey in the middle — which is unsafe to consume. When we raised our concern, we were told that this was “normal” and that the chicken was supposed to look that way. We asked for it to be remade and cooked thoroughly, but the second attempt was still raw. Despite not eating the dish, we were still charged for it, with the explanation that even though it was raw both times it had been prepared twice and they could have “made something else” instead. Regardless of the reasoning, serving undercooked chicken should never be up for debate. (Now reading other reviews that also mention the restaurant does not tolerate concerns from customers and are very difficult)
The only dish we found enjoyable was the blueberry pancakes.
To make matters worse, as we were leaving, we observed the hostess poking through our food with a fork, which felt unprofessional and unsanitary.
Overall, this restaurant seems to rely more on its social media popularity and aesthetic than on food quality or service. I am relieved we visited on a Thursday afternoon with no wait, as I would have been even more disappointed had we waited...

In the image: Sucuk Kofte With Haydari
**Price (2023): All of this when split was $22.15 per person:))
The Çılbır had a slight sour taste, with great textures from the puffed rice and seeds. The addition of mint, greens and dill made it light and refreshing. 4/5
Spanish Hash was extremely savoury with a familiar taste to it. The roasted peppers combined with the chorizo and potatoes were very comforting. The texture of the potatoes stayed crispy for a while. 4.3/5
Humous Bowl had a variety of different textured vegetables to pair alongside the humous. Mixing a bit of everything to eat with the mixed seed pita was very interesting. There would be the caramelized taste of the brussel sprouts + pickled cabage + refreshing thin onions (?) + Cucumber salad w/bursts from pomegranate + humous. 4.7/5
Sucuk Kofte With Haydari was very flavourful but felt too quick to finish. It was extremely juicy or anything but was tasty to eat with the other dishes and get more protein in. 4.1/5
Kunefe was very delicious when eating it fresh. I haven't tried this from any other places so I have no frame of reference but it was quite tasty. The crispy sweet and slightly oily/fatty (in a good way like fried food) taste of the shredded filo + nutty pistachio + sweet stretchy cheese complimented each other. 4.2/5
The waiter was extremely extremely kind and patient! We asked a lot of questions and took a little bit but she answered slowly and had a great...
Read moreAs a person who loves brunch!! If you are looking for a place that offers you a beautiful, healthy and FANTASTIC brunch, GOOD FORK is the BEST place in Toronto! I’ve had brunch in 5-star hotels but this place is really something!! I’m 100% happy with them. I’ve been here twice, or three times if you count a typical Sunday when they had a 1.5 hours waiting list for the brunch! Yes they are pretty busy on weekends and unfortunately you can’t do any reservations. But still!! The best place!
The first time we had hummus bowl with chicken, blueberry halva pancakes and Anatolian platter .. . The pancakes?! Wow!! 😋
I’m a kind of less-suger person😅😅 so the Salep was a bit too sweet for me! So We asked them if it’s possible to order it less-suger next time and they said yes!
So next time: we again had the bowl, the, and the appley apple pancakes. We liked the blueberry halva pancake more. The less-suger version of the Salep was absolutely amazing!! We can’t be more happy with a brunch place in Toronto! We are planned to have brunch there on a regular basis 😬
Hummus bowl with chicken: this plate offers you ALL you expect from a healthy and delicious brunch dish!
