Good ambiance, good service. We got seated right away at night on a weekday. Its a nice place to grab a drink but it’s also on the expensive end. We grabbed a total of 3 glasses of wine for two people. We ordered the following. 2018 Rkatsiteli - it was okay 2020 Fattori Mani di Luna (the special that they had listed) - good glass 2018 Cotes du Jura (as per waitress recommendation) - better than your average wine but not worth ordering The only one worth ordering is the Fattori Mani di Luna, a blend of Sangoviese and Trebbiano that has earthy, rustic, and mild red fruit notes. Acidic and bubbly, it was quite enjoyable. We didn’t order any food, will have to come back to try their menu.

Yessss one of the best wine bars I’ve been to in a while. Took us a while to get seated but we just went bar hopping until they called us and it was worth the wait. Ambiance is chic-zen vibes, candles, music. Kitchen was closed by the time we arrived BUT the truffle chips and olives almost stole the show. And the wine! Wow. Started w the Cab Franc rose wine and made our way to the Portugal red. Yum! Shout out to Alex the best server on Dundas. Def a place u can spend A lot of time at easily. I literally saw people falling in love all around me. I shall return! Only next time I’ll have a date! #alextwins #notapothic #trufflechips #greenteabeer #winebars

Great wine bar located on Dundas W Toronto. The ambience was amazing and the wine selection was comprehensive. However, the biggest surprise for me was the food. It surpassed my expectations. We ordered Pedro Ximenez wine - which we rarely see in most wine bars. The wine itself was interesting but the sherry notes were too prominent for my liking. The food was excellent. We picked the kampachi crudo (my fave), squash, gnocchi (least fave) and the market fish. The nori jam on the kampachi was the highlight for me. Additionally, it was great to see the menu is seasonal. All in all, it was a lovely experience and I’d recommend it!

Midfield 100% lives up to its reputation. My husband and I went for dinner last night and were blown away by the delicious wines, food, and exquisite service. Our server, Helen, helped us choose what to eat (she suggested 4-6 dishes for two people), and could describe each wine we ordered in detail. We had the beef flank tartare, the glazed rutabaga and the hen of the wood mushrooms. The flavours were very well balanced in each dish, but the beef flank tartare was exceptionally good - highly recommended. The food and wine we had was excellent, but, again, we were so impressed with the service. Another group came in and slightly encroached on our space, and Helen insisted on bringing us a drink on the house. The owner(?) also personally apologised to us. It was totally unnecessary but a nice touch showing that Midfield cares about ensuring their patrons have a great experience. In a city full of a million restaurants I want to try and will likely only go to once (if at all), we will definitely be back to Midfield. Hopefully sooner...

Maya Pulvers - you clearly did something wrong because I have been frequenting this establishment regularly over the past two years and have never left with anything but an extremely satisfied experience with both the food and staff. The chef is outstanding and knows her way around a kitchen preparing not only fresh food in a timely manner but well structured in balance to the extensive wine list that is offered. The staff are welcoming, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. I don't know of any other wine bar in the west end that even comes to mind in comparison to what this restaurant has to offer.

I always recommend Midfield to our local neighbours and those who are traveling into town. I also suggest those interested in learning more about wine in general to check out their monthly wine seminars hosted by many well known soms in the city.

I really can't say enough about this place. If you haven't been it is a must to put on your list of places to check out...

Midfield is my favourite place!! The wine list is wonderful with special descriptions under each wine, there was this wonderful creamy and textured chardonnay blend which I am still dreaming about . Not only a wine bar, midfield is also a food gem in the city! the chef has a farm where the vegetables are grown with love and you can tell, there are very creative/thoughtful dishes with the best seasonal ingredients. I have especially loved when celtuce is in season and on the menu, but year round the salmon crudo in its different iterations always hits the spot. Beyond the food and wine, the atmosphere is warm and very cozy. Everyone working is always incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and they seem to have an uncanny knack for recommending what I should drink, its like we have the same palate. If you're looking for a place with amazing wine, outstanding food go to...
