I had a very disappointing experience at Villa Madina in Fairview Mall, and I feel compelled to warn others about the deceptive practices taking place here. The restaurant displayed an advertisement offering a combo that included a bottled soft drink. However, when I placed my order, I was given a canned soda instead.
When I politely asked for the bottled drink as advertised, the cashier was extremely rude and dismissive, stating that they couldn’t provide the bottled soda because it was a mistake in the advertisement. This response is completely unacceptable. According to consumer protection laws, businesses are required to honor the promotions and advertisements they offer, and failing to do so is a clear violation of the Consumer Protection Act.
Not only did they fail to rectify their mistake, but the disrespectful attitude of the cashier made the experience even worse. This type of service and disregard for consumer rights is unacceptable, and I strongly advise others to think twice before dining at this establishment.
I will not be returning and recommend others avoid this place until they address their misleading advertising practices and improve their...
Read moreI recently dined in at the Fairview Mall location and ordered two shawarmas. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The shawarmas were so over-grilled that the paper wrapping had melted and stuck to the bread. When I tried to unwrap them, the contents fell apart completely, making a mess all over the table.
I approached a staff member named Haider to ask if the food could be replaced, but his response was unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the issue, he blamed the sauces for the mess and showed no empathy or willingness to resolve the situation.
It's clear that customer service is not a priority at this location. The lack of accountability and care from staff was frustrating. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to others looking for a decent...
Read moreMenu screen showed an offer for any two pita combos. Asked the first staff member if what we wanted was included, he confirmed yes, any two pitas. Cashier rang up a much higher price, and told it only applied to certain types of pita. That is not what the sign, or indeed their own coworker, said. Staff, including manager, were prepared argue that 'any' does not mean 'any'. Their inability to read their own sign was apparently now going to be our problem.
Don't really care for arguments when I'm the one paying, so suggested that they keep their food and began to walk away, they relented and we paid what was advertised. In retrospect, should have let them keep it anyway (desperately mediocre compared to Paramount or other Middle Eastern chains). Will never ever eat at any Villa...
