Wallace Espresso — Restaurant in Toronto

The baristas are very quick and I love the small, bright space with lots of plants. The espresso is amazing! I drink Americanos and both their regular roast and dark roast are excellent! The regular roast is quite fruity without acidity and a rich finish. The regular roast also has the most beautiful crema I have ever seen! The dark roast is very chocolatey and smooth but I prefer the regular roast for my black Americano.

The prices are middling: $3.75 for an Americano which I consider fairly average Baked goods look great and the prices are okay if they taste as good as they look

I would not recommend the breakfast sandwich. I've tried both the roasted red pepper and the bacon breakfast sandwich and while they were tasty, the eggs were poorly shaped and didn't cover the whole English muffin. This caused the sandwiches to be messy. The bread was also slightly soggy on both but better with the bacon breakfast sandwich.

Overall, this may be among the best espresso in the city and I would definitely recommend it to any...

Let me say this place has great beans and is my go to neighborhood place. However unfortunate service from barista today nov 28 2022 at 910am at the stanley park location. Havent had this experience before. I walked in and there was a couple of people ahead of me. I grabbed a bag of the avontuur beans and waited to pay. As I got up the barista looked and said can I get anything started, I said I just have these beans to pay for and was told actually she was talking to the person behind me because she believe I cut the line and they were ahead of me. I said no I was here before, the person behind me also said the same but the barista wanted confirmation from that individual first before believing me. The customer service here is so good you don’t even see it comin’! I was walking out of the dog groomers and hesitated for a second.. looked down at my pup and said “one sec.. mum needs a coffee..” I turned back to walk towards the Tim’s that I knew was down the street. A barista outside taking her sign in to close for the day overhears my one sided convo with my pup and chimes in saying “you need a coffee? How do you take it? I’ll run in and grab it!” I couldn’t believe it.. I asked if the debit terminal was cordless and she said “yep”. A minute later she came back out - coffee in hand and no debit terminal in sight. “This ones on us, maybe we’ll see you two again sometime.” Blew my mind. The coffee was delish and my mood the rest of the day was even better. I wish I knew her name to shout her out. Keep your eyes peeled and break from habit going to the big chains. These little gems need us more...
