I really wanted to like this place, but I really should have read those one star reviews. I am sharing my experience so this doesn’t happen to you. And if I can share something with you as a piece of advice is that don’t, and by no means, don’t do group reservations at this place. I had the most overwhelming birthday of my life (thanks PWD). I saw the place on TikTok from a fellow content creator, and the vibe, the place and everything looked lovely. I contacted them a month in advance from the date of the reservation. After several calls, multiple emails, we agreed in not doing a booth, and just doing dinner and then transitioning into nightlife without a booth, but if anyone wanted drinks they could go get them themselves at the bar. I gave them an estimated number of guests of 30, but I said I was most likely to get cancellations. Not once was it mentioned that the fee for the people that wouldn’t show up would be charged regardless. And that is with me asking hundreds of questions in each email to get the most accurate information. The lady was lovely on the phone, but when we got to the place the other manager was nothing like that. We made a late reservation (8:45pm) because I was advised that was the best if we wanted to stay for later (the nightlife part). That day I called the lady I had been in contact with and I told her I got 7 cancellations, therefore, it was looking more like 23. We left it at 25 “just in case”. Again, I wasn’t told anything about a cancellation fee, or anything. When we got to the place around 10min before the reservation, we were seated around 9:20ish. And food was starting to be served closer to 10. More people from the group cancelled and others were running late. Some of my friends had ordered individual drinks, which some extra ones were added in the bill when they hadn’t even brought them. The girls serving were nice but it was overwhelming when they were trying to quickly bring all the food out. She said they had the food for 30 people, we were around 15 at the time. I talked to the manager Michael, who was not very receptive, I told him I was never told about this. He said it’s something obvious and that the food can’t go to waste, like Sir, it’s pizzas, you have a full house, and you sell pizzas all night. Long story short, we ended up getting bottles, to also cover for the food. But their attitude was not the best, even when we were dropping $3K at their place. The servers constantly bombarding with questions of the bill, she made one bill for all the drinks and had me sort out the payment with everyone, which ok, but then there were a couple extra added that no one had ordered. They were rushing us to clean the table and make it a booth. And then asking constantly if we were ready to pay. My friends that were running late were in line, my boyfriend went to get them, and security had such a bad attitude, my boyfriend called the manager, whom with sarcasm helped him “they’re a little late, aren’t they”… yes, but they were already accounted for in our reservation. This shouldn’t be a problem, and it is not our problem that you’re letting more people in than the place can take. I didn’t even eat, because of how overwhelming everything was to be honest, so food wise, it’s ok, pizzas and pastas, nothing crazy. The music was cool, I kinda was expecting a live DJ, but I don’t think there was a DJ. My only highlight that night was a girl at the front door putting stamps, she was wearing glasses and I should’ve asked for her name. She was comforting and tried to make things as smooth as possible when I went out of the place for a breather. Pictures in the disco walls are not worth it of this experience. Trust me. Sadly I don’t think I would ever go back, not even just for drinks with the girls, which I genuinely think would be a better experience. But now that I have dealt with the people there, I don’t think I would bring...
Read moreI had a reservation set up for this place on my birthday and I find out the restaurant cancelled my reservation the night before we were supposed to come in. We had to call them and the girl that picked up was so unhelpful and was saying she couldn't access or give an explanation on why the reservation was cancelled said we could sit at the bar instead or something. then we were like oh we can sit at the bar then and then shed go oh no no you can't and proceeds to tell us that there were no open spots because the restaurant was overbooked and was at max capacity so we were annoyed but whatever. we try to look for another restaurant but i decide to look up this place again and on their website its allowing me to reserve a table so we call them again just to verify we would be able to sit at this table since she told us they were over max capacity but their website was allowing us to book a table and she tells us there is no space at ALL for us but was being extremely confusing and kept backtracking so we asked to speak to a manager who immediately apologized and owned up to cancelling our reservation out of nowhere the night before and got us a table at 6:30. Great, so happy to get that done with. we get to the restaurant and i kid you not there were only two other table occupied and the whole place was dead. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WERE AT CAPACITY. Clearly they were mad at us for some reason as the hostess and our waitress was rude and dismissive towards us the whole time. From the moment we get seated they tell us we have a time limit of an hour and half because they were gonna "get really busy". took another half hour for the waitress to come around and even take our order and she was not friendly at all, barely came by our table to check on us, etc. Which I would've chalked up to her just having a bad day whatever if it was not for the fact that they seated two other parties one to the left of us and one to the right and the difference in her attitude speaking to them compared to us was actually like day and night. Neither tables were told they had a time limit, she was smiling, making small talk and took their orders and drinks in a timely manner. the food was mid and the place itself is cute but the music would play sporadically and then just the whole place would be silent for long periods of time. And you better believe we made sure to take up the whole time of our reservation and no the place did not pick up or was anywhere close to capacity by the time we left. Unorganized, rude, and passive...
Read moreMy friend booked this to celebrate a birthday. We were a party of 5. While at the beginning of the seating the staff continuously came up to our table, when it came to order, we had to literally wave down the waitress. She was just talking with her coworkers the entire time and was kind of rude when she would come to speak with us. I ordered the lamb pizza, it was barely cooked through with weird raw onions placed on top as garnishing? The dough was raw and I could not even cut through it with a fork and knife. For a Toronto restaurant, this food was mid at best and honestly I only ate it because I was so hungry.
Midway through our meal while people were still dining someone cranked the music so loud everyone in the restaurant started yelling to turn it down. It was like 9pm. They turned it down after everyone's reaction.
In addition to the weird vibe from the staff, they made a point of asking us if we were celebrating anything. We informed them it was our friends birthday and they said oh we will give you something special to celebrate. This never materialized and there was nothing special provided. Even worse, when we asked to pay the bill they bribed the entire table to write positive reviews in return for receiving a free liquor shot (I don't drink so I did not partake). They even made a point of making each person show them the review on google. Then it took over 20 minutes and asking/waving our arms at the server so we could ask her to bring us the bill while she chatted with coworkers and never once looked our way. Once we got her attentions and after we had clearly asked for the bill (all on one by the way, no work to even have to split things up) she continued to chat and ignore us. They also told us upon seating they could not split the bills by order and could only split up to 4 ways equally. That is just pure laziness. The staff were completely distracted and clearly do not have any experience and for the price you pay, the pizza was awful. I paid to be ignored and eat bad food lol.
I've been here for nights out before and it used to be a lot of fun when it first opened. Something has clearly changed and now the place is not worth a single dollar of your money. I usually don't write bad reviews, this was particularly bad. Toronto has other options, avoid this place and pick...
