Wow! Wing House Scarborough — Restaurant in Toronto

Where do I begin. First of all we called over 10 times over the course of one hour and no one picked up. When we arrived, the employee advised us that they don’t answer the phone if the manager is not in. Secondly we came in to order a combo special that included wings, fries and a salad however they didn’t have the ingredients for salads at the time so they offered us fries instead even though fries were half the price of the salad and we already got one with the combo. There was another customer in there waiting who had mentioned that whenever she gets the special and something is missing they let her pick something else off the menu and if there’s a price difference she pays it so that’s what we tried. We asked if there was anything else that we could get and we would pay the difference and the employee called the manager and the manager asked to speak with us and when my husband took the phone the manager said fries were the only option and when we asked why he said that’s just how it is you cannot get anything else even though it was their fault for offering something they do not have. He didn’t care and didn’t try to work something out with us so we took our business elsewhere. The customer service was horrible and just the fact that the phone was ringing the whole time we were there and no one would pick it up was a little concerning. It’s really disappointing because we used to love this place and have ordered from here many many times but the customer service is horrible now and the worst part is we weren’t the only ones who ended up walking out today....

Just rude!!! Will never visit/order from here. I went to pick uber order here, this is not about food taste/quality. I went there to pick after 8 PM it was already dark. Apparently, there was a sign at door, saying only 2 people at a time, but no lights at front door and I missed it. There were two guys ordering food there already. I was waiting inside no one said anything, any other restaurant would have requested to wait out politely and I, mask and sanitizer abiding person, would have instantly waited outside even though it was a cold night. I even asked the guy/owner about uber order number, he didn’t even look at me, ok so I waited more. Now when those 2 people left the owner started shouting that there is a sign at door and all, I said ok will kind next time but he started shouting more an more OMG his rant!...I quietly canceled my pickup and left. I mean why didn’t you ask me to wait outside, I wasn’t trying to catch covid or spread I was there to pick order placed by your patron and deliver it within time. My only fault was not not read sign in dark, might have carried my magic specs which would have given me owl vision.

Now, if you have that much problem you should have pick outside door or something. We delivery people are betting our health and everything in covid to deliver on time, if food is cold, if we take time we get no tip or/and bad rating, don’t even get a pee breaks, earlier we could use restaurant washroom but with pandemic no...

Make no mistake — wow wings have some the best prices and flavoured wings out there.

But boy am I disgusted with the owner at the Brimley location. I’m a regular client (3-4 times a month) last night I picked up 2 pounds of wings, went in again this afternoon for an additional 4 pounds and two fries and asked for 2 one pound packings and 1 two pound packing as I wanted to drop one pack to friend who has never tried their wings (helping to promote Brimley’s business)

Instead what I got was “we don’t and I WILL NOT package your wings like that as the 3 pounds are all one flavour”. Holy arrogant and lack of customer service.

Great wings but ask yourself if you want to support a man that’s happy to grab your money when he can, then, point blank refuse to part with a single take out package worth 10 - 15 cents. He could have just as easily told me that there was a small charge of even a $1 for addition packaging and I would have gladly payed the fee.

Not only did he lose my $50 plus order today and all future business from me, but, he’s lost a good half a dozen clients I referred to him - they were just as disappointed in hearing about it.

The Markham RD and Delhi location is where I drove to right after, they accommodated with smile. Thank you Wow wings Markham - guess an extra 5-8 min drive is worth supporting people and businesses who actually care about...
