Here’s a review for Albert Campbell Square:
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Albert Campbell Square is a beautiful and well-maintained public space in the heart of Scarborough. It’s a great spot to relax, whether you’re looking to enjoy some fresh air, attend a community event, or just take a break from the hustle and bustle of the nearby mall. The square is spacious and has a lovely fountain that adds to the atmosphere, especially in the warmer months.
I really appreciate how clean and safe the area feels, with lots of seating and green spaces to enjoy. It’s also well-connected, making it easy to get to from the Scarborough Town Centre or by public transport.
Occasionally, there are some local events and concerts that add an extra layer of vibrancy to the space, making it a lively place to hang out. If you’re in the area, definitely take a moment to check out Albert Campbell Square—it's a nice little oasis in the middle of the city!

Read moreIt's going through some renovations right now. There is construction continuing on the stairs leading up to Scarborough Town Centre, and throughout the centre field between the YMCA and condos. The rink is well taken care of. It's still nice to see free outdoor skating in the heart of Scarborough. It's unfortunate that the snack bar inside the change area doesn't open anymore, but it's understandable considering the low foot traffic. Having it open during March break would have been nice.
It's an older city square, being the old city hall of Scarborough, but it's nice to see their trying to keep it functional...
Read moreWe've been there on December 31, Saturday and this place looked pathetic. There was no Christmas tree, music, decorations, just some garbage on dirty cement stairs. Shame on city council. When the whole world including much poorer countries did something to create holiday atmosphere for celebrating New Year, the central place in Scarborough looked like dumping site. Obviously city of Toronto does not have enough money for people of Scarborough and Scarborough councilors don't do anything to change this situation and all the money from Scarborough taxpayers go to downtown needs, leaving us buses instead...
