For my first visit, I would give this place a 2.5, but after coming here again, I would bring it up to a solid 3
FIRST VISIT: The service was pretty slow and but friendly and the food was just okkk.
Tried this for the first time on weekday evening. We ordered the Chicken Biryani , Vegetarian Biryani, Daal Makhni & 2 Naans. Our total came out to about $30
Chicken Biryani ($9.99) - I had really high hopes for this, The biryani itself lacked flavour, especially compared to the Veggie Biryani.
Vegetarian Biryani ($6.99) - It was colourful and full of flavour, a tad bit spicy but good. I like that it included veggies like cauliflower and also paneer.
Both Biryanies also came with a watery raita and Mirchi ka salan ( curried chili peppers)
Daal Makhni ($6.99) - There was a bit of a strong garlic / burnt taste to it, but the quantity given was good.
Plain Naans ($1.49 each) - they were pretty good, but nothing amazing
I was really excited to try the biryani from a place that is actually known for their biryani, but unfortunately it just didn't stack up to the hype for me.
SECOND VISIT UPDATE : We decided to give this place another try a week later, so this time we only ordered the Vegetarian Biryani.
While waiting, for the food, my mom mentioned that last time, the Daal wasn't that great and if she could speak to the manager or owner. The head chef was more than willing to sit with her and hear out her concerns. He explained that the Daal does sit and simmer over the Tandoor, sometimes for a longer period. He apologized for the taste last time explaining that they had just recently opened and are still working out all their kinks, and offered to make her a fresh order of the Daal. ( This one definitely tasted much better! )
Overall, we appreciated the great customer service and the free gulab jaman dessert they...

Read moreHorrible experience wish I could give them 0 stars! I called them to ask if they do reservations and I was told no they don’t. After we reached the restaurant they said we could sit anywhere there was place so we picked a table and were about to order when the server asked us to move tables. The reason we were asked to move was because the owners friends were visiting and they had to “reserve” that table for them. I have no problem moving tables but when I’m clearly told they don’t do reservations why is it different for the owners friends? We have to wait to get a table and then u ask us to get up and go to another table with everyone watching us being asked to move. You should treat all your customers properly and inconveniencing your customers because of friends is clearly not good customer service. The only reason I did not walk out was because the server was polite, I don’t blame him he was only doing what he was instructed. The food is average. The biryani felt dry and bland. There’s better restaurants with much better tasting food and good service in the GTA. This was definitely not worth it. Poor service and average food. These guys should learn to treat their customers properly or guess what, your loosing them to the competition. Not going to be...
