Z Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Toronto

Ordered from Skip and the only reason I'm leaving a review is due to the establishment's replies. I ordered late after 1am because I was craving a chicken and rice dish. But i specifically ordered jerk chicken because its one of my favorite dishes. Also noting this is my first time eating here.

First let me say whether its in the pub or delivery, it shouldn't matter. Food quality should still be as fresh and great tasting as possible. Ofc accounting for a bit of quality loss due to delivery. Ive worked in kitchens and ive had food delivered to me that tasted the same as when eating at the restaurant before.

There shouldn't be stale/uncooked rice which is what I got (doesnt matter if most of it is cooked - which is was, there shouldn't be any hard pieces). I ordered mildly spiced jerk chicken and it doesnt even taste like jerk nor was there spice. I had to come to check Google if you called yourself Caribbean because I actually figured you weren't because of what the chicken tastes like.

I gave 3 stars because your rating on Skip is high and the reviews here are too. Actually got sad to see I didnt receive a good plate of food that others clearly got. But something is being missed so I hope the chef/cooks are being evaluated to see whats going on with delivery food. Everyone should have the same experience in or...

I went with my family to Z Bar & Grille for Summerlicious dinner and it was fantastic! From the drinks to the food to the service, everything was great. Hands down, Z's has the best piña coladas we've ever had at a restaurant: pineapple freshness; coconutty, milky, creaminess; and a good splash of rum.

For the appetizers, the batter for the salted fish fritters was light and airy; the pork taco was well marinated; the popcorn chicken salad was bright.

The trifecta was beautiful, offering jerk chicken, pork, and brisket for the indecisive. Mains come with white rice or white rice with peas. The coleslaw too was an unsung hero, adding freshness to the dish.

We ordered the chocolate kahlua cake slices all around, which were rich and not overly sweet. Our wonderful server told us that the cakes were made in-house, so hats off to the chef!

The atmosphere here is great too: there's a sports bar section and a dining section, and Z's also has a pool table and various board games for patrons to enjoy.

At the end of our meal, we even got a loyalty card where after nine entrées, you get the 10th for free!

To all my black people please don't go to Z BAR & GRILLE,the owners are racist,they also are very unprofessional, white people shouldn't open businesses in black communities especially if they don't like us!!!! Their food is not even tasty or good,yet they are selling all our Caribbean delicacies to get rich but yet still oppress us.... This was my first and last time I would ever be spending my money there... I love every creed and race but that doesn't mean I should allow WHITE PEOPLE to treat me like slavery days..... HELL NO. NOT IN 2024.

My phone wasn't even loud,you guys were sitting at the bar and my friend and I were all the way close to the front entrance, before the others left the conversations on our table was even louder and u guys didn't say anything!!!!!!
