Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Cochrane

Disappointed by Cochrane's Boston Pizza delivery policy. When requesting delivery to the Gleneagles Subdivision of Cochrane, I was informed by staff that they don't deliver to Gleneagles, which forced me into picking up. When I asked why, I was informed there were two, maybe three reasons: 1) It is too far to drive to Gleneagles from Westside Drive, 2) "Our delivery driver won't go that far up there, and 3) It's outside of this restaurant's service area.

I'm sorry but here are some facts:

1. There are around 1000 single family dwellings in the Gleneagles subdivision.
2. According to my odometer the trip distance to my house was 4.8 Kilometers in length
3. It took me a total of six minutes to drive it using Hwy. 22, Hwy 1A and Gleneagles Drive, adhering to the speed limit.

Just my opinion but I think it's ridiculous to exclude a large swath of Cochrane as "too far away to deliver" based on the above information. This is Cochrane, not Calgary. It's a small town not a big city. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to drive from anywhere to anywhere within the town's corporate limits.

The serving staff informed me that they do take a lot of heat from lots of people calling from take out that experience the same frustration. How can they possibly afford to refuse delivery to such a large ready market calling them with great regularity only to be told "sorry we don't deliver there". Perhaps it's time they give this a close look with a mind to change this policy of stupidity and hire drivers that actually want to work.

Re: food and service based on considerable past experience is generally pretty good. I still made the decision to get in my ride and drive there to give them my hard earned cash for the desired delivery that ended...

On Tuesday, following a lengthy journey, we decided to dine at Boston Pizza. Despite our prior experience in the area, we were pleased with the quality of the food and its freshness. However, we found ourselves dissatisfied with the pasta as it was initially served cold, along with cold sauce. Upon requesting for a replacement and an additional serving of hot pasta, she responded that she did not serve any more hot pasta. We do not wish to spoil our dinner, so we decided to allow ourselves to finish our meal and move on. Unfortunately, this time the pasta was hot but tasteless. It seemed watery then saucy... no flavor in sauce... no sauce and spicy flavor in the pasta.

She provided information about today's available deals, but once we voiced our concerns about the food, it seemed as though she was less interested in interacting with us now. She had come after a few minutes of serving pasta again, and said... I believe you guys need take out bags now... since the pasta was not finished due to tasteless food... rather than worrying about why we haven't finished the pasta. She was more concerned about us needing to leave the restaurant as soon as possible. We requested the bill, so we could pay and move. However, she kept the bill on the table without providing any card machine. Eventually, we went to a bar and asked another server for a card machine. Thus, we were able to pay our bill.

We stayed near to boston pizza... we were decided to have dinners for next few days here as we came here for vacation. But now you loose your business just because of poor food taste and poor service...

Had absolutely the worst experience dining in tonight with my family. First off we sat in the booth for 12 minutes before I waved a server down to ask if someone was comming. We ordered water juices and a pop which came after our appetizers and only because we had to ask, brought us soaking wet straws which we had to ask for ones that the paper wasn't disintegrating on. Kids food and our pizza finally came out minus the kids Ceasars salad which I had to ask for. we had no plates and no way to serve our selves our pizza we waited for another 7 minutes for waitress to come by she asked how our food was clearly seeing we hadn't been able to touch it I then told her we havnt been able to eat it. She then brought us some plates and serving tools. By the time we were able to eat our pizza was now cold. I asked for a manager, he came to the table not giving a care in the world and seemed annoyed that we had a complaint, very unprofessional I had to ask for a new pizza which had to be boxed up as we didn't have time after waiting for a new pizza to sit and eat. AFTER paying our bill the waitress decided it was time to talk about us to another employee forgetting that the little barrier between our booth and the kitchen area is not sound proof.
