Me and a girlfriend were visiting Cochrane when we decided to top in at the pub. The atmosphere was cozy and the bartender was fabulous! We sat at the bar and got to know the local people and had an amazing time. They told us the fish and chips was great, so we went back the next day and ordered the fish and chips to go with the side of peas. Stopped into The Shire Pub and what nice little pub. The Atmosphere was just like you would suspect from a few regulars having a pint of beer to the art on the walls. The customer service from Shelby & the owner was wonderful very pleasant to talk to. I enjoyed the 2 piece Fish n Chips and my wife had the soup of the day potato and bacon which is made from scratch and my mother in law had an order of wings. Highly recommend stopping by. True friendly pub experience. Welcomed us when we walked in. We went for an early supper after a long day of driving and was it good!! My husband had the Shire burger and he said it was delicious. I had the fish and chips (one piece) and it was delicious as well. It came with coleslaw, tartar sauce and lemon. Yummy 😋. The burger was big and filling as well.
