Peking House — Restaurant in Town of Cochrane

Have eaten here twice previous to this last order and we loved the food. This past weekend we ordered for Super Bow Sunday and have never been more dissatisfied. The rice was dry and flavourless, the ginger beef was chewy and lacked the ginger spice. The MOST dissatisfying dish was the sweet and sour chicken. We’ve always had it come in a foil container and it always had onions and pineapple in the container. This time it was in the plastic fold container and they were chicken balls from frozen coated in thick bread; super dry and horrid tasting. Very, very disappointed and will not order again...

DO NOT eat off the a la carte menu or this restaurant will break the bank. We basically ordered a dinner for 4 with the exception of the chow-mien and it was $ 92 vs 75. Portions were no better than if you ordered off the value menu. The difference in money is not worth the long wait times, portions, wrong orders or the expense. I have been a loyal customer but will no longer support...

A little gem of a restaurant recommend by a friend who has lived in Cochrane for 40 years. Well worth the drive. I'm very critical of authentic Chinese food and I was delightfully pleased and impressed. The service is exceptional. Dinner for 2 was more than we could eat.
