Edo Japan — Restaurant in Town of Hinton

We went in on Monday Sept 4th on our way home from Jasper. I decided to try sushi rolls there for the first time. The girl at the front was quite rude and said the veggie sushi rolls have veggies. I had to ask what kind. The cook in the back went right to work cooking my daughter and grand daughter’ s meals. The girl at the front proceeded to fill a bunch of little containers that had nothing to do with our order. We waited a good ten minutes while people who came in after us were served and eating before we even got our food. She plunked our cooked food down on the counter and proceeded to make our sushi rolls. I said thank you and good bye when we left and she turned away and said nothing. I have always had very friendly service at Edo’s in Edmonton. This girl needs to step up her customer service and friendliness...

Worst experience in a long time.

I understand things are strained with Covid, but lack of customer service was a real problem.

We went in using the menu to get gluten free food for my wife, only to be told the online menu was wrong and there weren’t any gluten free options.

The server then charged for a children’s meal and an adult meal when we orders 2 children’s meals.

She then said it too late as it was already made….

We asked for a refund due to the horrible service and we were told it would take 14 days for a refund.

The server then said she could refund the difference for the kids meal…. But can’t refund the whole thing.

Then got the order wrong !

I had a great experience at Edo Japan! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken bento and it was absolutely delicious—tender chicken with just the right amount of sauce, served with perfectly cooked rice and vegetables. The portion size was generous and definitely worth the price.

The staff were friendly and quick, and the restaurant was clean and well-organized. I really appreciated how fast the service was, even during the lunch rush.
