UPDATES ADDED AT END.... Food=8 Everything else = 0 The server had an extremely terrible attitude from the moment we were seated (it became clear she should never work in the service industry ever again). She called in the wrong order, to which we were told the pizza would be put through on a rush order. After 30 minutes I asked the hostess to speak to the manager about the rush order that still was not delivered ( I asked the hostess because we rarely saw the server).
The hostess went to the back and about 5 minutes later out came the server with the pizza (but no manager came to our table, humm, weird). The server explained the manager said they would take 15% off the entire bill as a result of the mistake. In total this 15% added up to be of less value than the price if the pizza that took over 90 minutes to arrive at the table.
At the end of the night I asked to speak to the manager again, to which the waitress was extremely mad. After speaking with the manager it was clear they were not informed about how bad our experience was (ranging from a 90 minute wait for food to sitting over an hour with glasses empty and nobody checking on the table). The manager didn't even know about the 15% taken from the bill.
I found out the server took it upon herself to ring in the food as her own "personal" order i.e. employee discount, likely to avoid having the manager find out about her absolutely horrid service skills and brutal attitude.
If I owned this BPs I would have fired the incredibly terrible waitress on the spot, especially after they screwed up so badly they took it upon themselves to take restaurant profits to hide their mistakes.
I forgot to mention in the mirage of issues to the manager that the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting.
I believe the servers name was Desmond (but I am not really sure as in the 2 hour visit to the restaurant I only saw the server 3 times). The manager said they were doing inventory in the back and hence wasn't entirely aware of how bad the service had gotten throughout the evening. Either way as a frequent BPs customer I plan to never return to this location.
UPDATE After speaking with the manager, Fay, in a follow up I am confident the restaurant leadership is working to correct the service issues I experienced. Perhaps it was an off day for the serving staff, either way, management seems to have the desire to take ownership of customer experience issues and provide training where and...
Read moreThe service was very slow, I had to wait 20 mins for my refill. My order was messed up numerous times. First mistake: I ordered the mac & cheese, I had even pointed to it on the menu when placing my order to make sure the vegetarian version was being ordered; but spinach dip was brought out; someone other than our server had brought out the food and when that employee confronted our server of the error; our server came out and asked me what I had orginally ordered. After waiting another 15 minutes my correct item was brought out but now the second mistake was no garlic bread was brought with my pasta. Again after waiting a little bit this was fixed. Now the third mistake when the bill came the incorrect item (spinach dip) was still on the bill. At this point I was annoyed when I asked my server why so many mistakes kept happening as I have never had to deal with this at any other location. She replied saying, "the kitchen staff was busy." I wasn't impressed as she was our server and should have taken some responsibility as she was the one that gave the kitchen the incorrect order, she was the one that should have checked that the food being brought out was correct and moreover she was the one issuing the bill not the kitchen staff. As well as, they "ran" out of clean glasses? My cousin ordered beer and his came in a mug and my husband's came in a normal glass but they had ordered the same size; again the water came out in disposable glasses and when we asked the waitress as the soft drinks came out in normal glasses. The waitress had said "there are no more regular glasses. When they become available I will bring them out. We're waiting on the dishwasher." Which I understand but I have never heard that happening at any BP's or any restaurant before. There were 10 of us (6 adults & 4 kids) and 7/10 of us now have food poisoning. This was the only common thing we all ate. Very...
Read moreSix stars if I could! Huge shout out to Jerica! 🙌 She was so friendly, really kind and a fantastic waitress. Very welcoming right from the get-go.
We arrived at 9:30, to which point last call was already happening. We checked Google and it mentioned they closed at 11 but we totally forgot Covid restrictions being reimplemented the same day would affected restaurant hours. None the less, she was more than happy to seat us and serve us.
We have a family member who is deathly allergic to dairy (a droplet of dairy can cause anaphylaxis). Usually at restaurants we often feel uneasy (or sometimes even told we won't be served and are asked to leave), because the wait-staff barely give any attention to the severity of the allergy (such as getting a burger, and them asking if we want cheese).
At no point did we feel uneasy (even with the nearest hospital being in Red Deer). Jerica was super diligent with our allergy family member. She was fast, responsive, had refills ready on the fly. My pizza (no allergy here) had green onion and was requested without. It was remade before it was even brought out (I was fine just to pick them off 🤣) and came out super fast.
Food was amazing for everyone, hot and perfectly cooked. By far one if the best tasting BPs I've been to. Definitely will be back.
(For anyone who might criticize eating out is a risk, we are aware. However eating literally the same foods for 30 years gets tiresome and bland)
If you get Jerica you know you're in good hands with a great dinner...
