I stopped by the A&W on 96 Avenue in Langley the other day, and I have to say it was one of the better fast-food experiences I’ve had in a while. Sometimes you just want something quick and satisfying, and this location really delivers that classic A&W quality with great service to match. Right from the start, the place looked clean and well maintained. The dining area was tidy, and even though it was a busy time, the staff were working efficiently to keep tables cleared and orders moving. I placed my order at the counter, and the employee who helped me was friendly and polite, taking the time to confirm my choices and making sure everything was right before finalizing. It’s a small thing, but it shows they care about getting it right. I ordered a Teen Burger combo with onion rings and a root beer, and everything came out hot and fresh. The burger tasted exactly like it should—juicy, flavorful, and not greasy. The onion rings were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the root beer, as always, was cold and refreshing in the frosted mug. You can tell the team here takes pride in serving good food fast, not just rushing people through. What stood out to me was how quick yet smooth the whole experience was. Even during a lunch rush, I only waited a few minutes for my order, and everything was spot on. The atmosphere inside was relaxed, with a mix of families, workers grabbing lunch, and people enjoying coffee or breakfast. If I had to mention one small thing, it’s that parking can get a bit tight during peak times, but it’s not a major issue. Overall, the A&W on 96 Avenue is a solid stop whether you’re grabbing a quick meal on the go or sitting down for a classic burger and root beer. Great service, fresh food, and a clean, comfortable environment—it’s exactly what you’d hope...
Read moreI'm not going to give A&W my money anymore. I'm handicapped, my health care aid goes into the store to get my order, as my window isn't working to go through the drive through. On average we go to this A&W 4 times a week for breakfast, and once or twice a week for supper, sometimes we order full breakfast, due to my chemotherapy my appetite is often small. I often order sausages , hashbrowns and coffee and a combo for my care aid worker. They are currently having a free coffee promotion, they wanted to charge her for the 2nd cup of coffee, even though we always pay full price for our food even though we are both over 65. I was upset when they said 1 coffee per customer, even though we were buying food for 2 people, they told her if I wanted a free coffee, that I would have to enter the store. I currently weigh 88 lbs , my normal weight is 145 lbs, the energy it takes for me to just get out to the car is tremendous, so now the the price of a cup of coffee, it looks like I'll take my business McDonald's, burger King, Wendy's or white spot from now on. Very disappointed in their lack of taking care of 2...
Read moreBeen going here for years without a problem. Always loved a&w as my favorite place to go for fast food, I work in customer service so I like to think myself lenient, wait times, out of product, etc. Stuff happens and I understand that. However, I recently went here to get a chubby chicken burger combo and they were out of chubby chicken burgers.... but had chubby chicken crunchers (slightly bigger patty for ~1.50 more). I asked if any other locations would have the regular burger? No. Asked if I could use a chubby chicken burger coupon on the cruncher instead of the regular? No. Asked if I could get the cruncher for the same price as the regular since they're out? Also no. I offered multiple alternatives and got turned away at each offer. They've lost a customer, at least at this location so they could save themselves a 1.50. Never had such poor service or care from an establishment before. Would not recommend going to this location anymore. Staff used to be great, not sure...
