Benkey Sushi — Restaurant in Township of Langley

I love Benkey. Now you might think this is a very bold/weird statement but I do.

I go to Benkey once a week at least. Sometimes even three times a week. I believe I'd be one of the regulars and have been for the last 6 months. Me and my friend have had countless great times here over and over again.

There has been a couple times at first where the service was meh but it improved in a heartbeat and the staff I would say is absolutely top notch, they are always there for anything you need.

The food here is Japanese & Korean inspired. They are very authentic, the chefs put a lot of work in their dishes and they are always ready to welcome guests and letting them know they are thankful for you coming. So do give them a shout when you come and go.

Take out is an option, do take it sometimes trust me the quality does not change. The experience inside is always very enjoyable, it does get busy so be aware.

So for me, this place is my absolute favourite and would not stop coming here, ever.

P.S. Over the course of a year and a half, my friend and I have gone at least once a week, sometimes up to 3 a week...No regrets. Our wallets hurt but our hearts are fulll

Not fresh at all. Fishy sashimi. Tuna Tataki was not how it should taste! The sauce was nothing like it and not freshly made (we saw them squeeze it out of a bottle) it was thick and the colour was off - The salmon sashimi was super fishy and warm - also not fresh as we watched them take it straight out of the sushi bar display already plated. Service was awkward and not welcoming - no actually waitress or hostess that day, a man from behind the sushi bar had to come seat us and he was the same man that took our order/brought us food and assisted the other sushi chef behind the sushi bar. Right before we were leaving, 2 ladies showed up carrying a few coffees from Tim Hortons.. we assume those were the waitresses. Not a great first impression. Super awkward as they stare at you over the sushi bar watching you take every bite. At the end of our meal, the older sushi chef who “made” our food leaned over and said “is ok?” - he looked concerned.. probably cuz he saw me taking pictures of the food. Also the water they served us had so much things floating around in the cup - and when we asked for tea, they said they don’t serve tea in the summer? Never heard...

Ordered from here for the first time tonight thought I would try a new place in Aldergrove. Boy was I wrong, ordered from doordash, the order was correctly placed. When we received our food the order was completely wrong and we were overcharged and when I called them they absolutely refused to do anything about it whether we picked it up or they dropped it off to us. Basically said it was our problem. I will never eat from this establishment ever again and nor will I recommend it to any of my friends. Me or any of my friends will never come back to this place or order from it ever again. The lady on the phone when we called was completely rude and basically told us she could not do anything to help us. When you spend that amount of money on food you should at least get the correct item and if not they should do something to correct it. Boycott this place and...
