Pro: cute location, atmosphere/vibe was right. Con: BEVERAGES: our server made me and my girlfriend almond milk lattes that tasted like watered down coffee. No foam, and absolutely tasteless. A latte should consist of some foam, even if almond milk froths less than regular milk. I'm an ex-barista, so I know this from personal experience along with purchasing almond milk lattes on a daily basis. When I told this to our server, she said she could make it again, but it'll be the same exact thing "because almond milk doesn't froth".... this is untrue, and indicative of minimal experience with lattes. For my other girls, the water in their tea wasn't hot enough, so the tea leaves weren't steeped. This included the london fog latte. TEA: 3 of my girls ordered the vegan tea, and 2 ordered the gluten free tea. For the price you pay ($26 per person) the portions were ridiculously small. I get that it shouldn't be considered a meal, but how does one justify For three girls, you're charging $78 for a total 2-3 slices of bread, a few cookies, almonds, and jam? The vegan cheese scones were were a good consistency, but tasted very bland. The vegan "sandwiches" consisted of VERY dry sour dough with a sliced grape tomato and cucumber. There was absolutely no spread, no salt, na da. SERVICE: The worst I've experience in the Fort so far unfortunately. We didn't raise our concerns to the front because we were in a rush, but our servers were quite absent and unapologetic. First, a server spilled a latte when trying to put it down on the table. It got on my girlfriend's coat, and we got ZERO apologies. She just smiled and went to get a rag to wipe it down. It was ridiculous. Second, when we asked the server what was included in our tea, she didn't mention the actual TEA that was included. Had we known this, I could have skipped my coffee-water. When the tea arrived, we had to ask for plates... When the tea (beverage) arrived, we had to ask for cups... Overall, a 2 is well deserved for the experience, service, taste, and price point. Wish it could have been better!

Had a great experience and some tidbits for those who have had a "less than great" one in the reviews so far. The Little White House is definitely a country inspired, "shabby chic" setting. The space is multi-use so you do have mixed retail (in the main house) and a tea house (in 3 different additions) but also a combination of space types within the layout. You can choose from 3 different areas for tea service: their well air conditioned entry to the back addition, their ventilated but much brighter (and warmer!) sun/garden room, or the barn like addition with adorable chandeliers and arched windows. Either of the last two are going to have some plants and possibly a lil guy that lives on them creeping through the barn slats at some points in the year. If you'd like to avoid the summer heat and burst of life that comes with it, it's probably best to choose the truly indoor area with A/C. There's also a variety of tea experiences available, depending on how busy it is when you come, for those concerned with the pricing. We had a wonderful time enjoying a set of 6 delicious scones with a large pot of the house tea (chosen from a grand selection at the time), with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam - for $36! (serving 3 people). Due to high traffic they simplify their weekend offerings to only the high tea set, but if you're able to come on a weekday there are more budget friendly options available. And your server will naturally be available to you on a more personal level, like she was with us :) Hope this helps!

Went here today for my belated bday party and really enjoyed the space. The building is very shabby chic, which I quite liked. I will say the interior of the building is quite odd and narrow, I doubt it would be accessible friendly but maybe they have a work around for that. On the other hand this offered our group a lot of privacy which I liked since we can be quite profane LOL I didn't like not getting to choose our tea, normally expensive high teas offer more options, however the blend we got was delicious so it worked out. I also wasn't super impressed with the cups. Some of us got beautiful bone china while others got murky glass. With all the thrift stores and antiques nearby I really don't feel like there's any excuse to not exclusively have beautiful bone china. Maybe that's part of the shabby chic vibe but if so it's only giving shabby. Our server was incredible, very attentive and sweet. And the food was really adorable. We came just in time for their Valentine's themed sweets and they were all incredible. I will say, though, that some of the savouries were incredibly hard to eat without making a huge mess, I'm used to sandwiches with high tea, not cream filled croissants that could be on the sweets tier. I think more savoury sandwiches would've made this a lot better, but again, we still enjoyed it. It's just a lot of sugar haha. The scones were to die for though! Loved the cream and jam toppings Overall an enjoyable experience and would likely try again in the future

The food was alright, otherwise a little dry. However, the customer service was downright terrible.

We were a group of three with a reservation already made, and because we couldn’t find parking, one of us went inside first, so we wouldn’t be late. When my other friend and I arrived, we found the last member of our group sitting at a table with no menus and only two sets of cutlery. The friend that arrived first explained someone had seated her at that table.

A little confused, we sat down, and were later greeted by the hostess who, without asking what happened, told us rudely that we needed to speak with her first before sitting. She assumed that we had seated ourselves without saying anything, and when my friend who had arrived first tried to defend us, the “hostess” interrupted her. As she was accusing us of just seating ourselves without notice, her tone was condescending and she would not let us speak until she was done. We were able to explain that we already had a reservation and somebody had seated us at that table. Then, we asked for menus, which the “hostess” refused, saying she was “only the hostess” and that a server would help us. Then, she left.

We waited another 10 minutes for a server to come by, who hesitantly gave us menus and proper cutlery. We had to clarify with that server twice that we wanted brunch, not high tea.

After our meal, when we paid, two of us went first. We had three drinks and three dishes. My last friend went up to pay, but the SAME “hostess” from before charged her for her drink as well as one of the drinks that were already paid for. My friend pointed out that she was being charged extra, and the “hostess” spoke to us in the same condescending tone before attempting to fix the problem. My friend tried to explain that she did not have one of the drinks, but the “hostess” kept correcting her, saying that she did have both drinks. However, that wouldn’t make sense since one of us already paid for one of them. After ten minutes, she ended up calling the general manager. To our face, she apologized for her mistake, but when she was on the phone with her manager, she placed the blame on us and did not mention it was her mistake at all. We were standing in front of her as she made this call.

We do understand that the hostess is new, which she clarified multiple times, but she spent most of her time trying to assure that we knew she was new before she called the manager. It was as if making sure we knew that she was new was more important than fixing the problem as efficiently as possible. After fifteen minutes, my friend finally got her refund and we left annoyed and very disappointed.

I, personally, will not be...

I am not usually one to post a “bad rating” but unfortunately my experience here was not great at all.

Went here with 3 of my friends, beautiful location, however the service was awful, and the food was just as bad.

We walked in and were greeted and seated quickly (great) however once we were seated, it only took about 10 minutes for our food and tea to arrive (great) , however the waitress brought our tea (1 pot for 4 girls, no refills? ) and she was never seen again until she came back and told us our reservation was up, even though we were waiting at our table all packed up and ready to go but we thought we had to wait for the bill to arrive. She was very short with us and told us, we pay at the front. (Cool, no problem just would like some info next time) We packed up, went to the front to pay and were asked how it was, I was the first to pay and I didn’t want to make a scene because there were a lot of people waiting and it is a very small space, so I said it was “ok” and the cashier got extremely aggressive and said “ What do you mean just ok”, with her tone of voice and now everyone looking in my direction as I’m paying, I wanted out of there fast and said “never mind, have a nice day” and left. The other three girls paid after me as I waited in the front room and she was also very hostile and rude to them as they were paying. NOW THE FOOD. 🤢 All our pastries were dry and rock hard, and very stale. we could literally bang our Croissants on the table, the bread for the sandwiches were SO SO DRY, the other Cookies were stale. There was a chocolate brownie that was alright and the strawberries were great but only 1/2 a strawberry per person and on top of it all 3/4 of the girls did not feel well after 👎🏼 A few of us have been to other “high tea” locations in the lower mainland and they are much much better, and worth it! avoid this place unless you like to sit in a room, eat dry stale food, and get terrible service.

Also it was very hot in our room (we were in the garden room) and...
