The Fort Langley Rail Station Historic Site is such a hidden gem and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Walking up to the station instantly gives you this amazing nostalgic feeling, almost like stepping back in time. The building is beautifully preserved, with all the little details that make you imagine what life was like when trains were the heartbeat of travel and trade in this region.

What makes this place special is the serenity it offers. Even though it’s in the middle of a lively historic village, the station itself feels calm and peaceful. It’s the kind of spot where you can slow down, take a deep breath, and really appreciate the history all around you. The volunteers and staff are super friendly and happy to share stories about the station, the trains, and the role this little stop played in connecting communities.

It’s not a huge site, so you don’t need hours to explore it, but that’s part of the charm. It fits perfectly into a day trip to Fort Langley, whether you’re checking out the village shops, the Fort itself, or just strolling along the river.

Overall, the Rail Station Historic Site leaves you with a warm, amazing feeling of history and serenity. Definitely a must-visit when in...

The Fort Langley CN Station is a charming heritage site that offers visitors a glimpse into Canada’s railway history. Built in 1915 for the Canadian Northern Railway, it’s one of the few remaining stations of its kind in western Canada. The station has been restored and is maintained by the Langley Heritage Society.

Inside, visitors can explore exhibits in various rooms, including the waiting area, telegraph office, and freight room. There’s also a 1947 passenger car and a 1920s CNR caboose featuring a model HO railway, which adds to the...

September 1, 2024. Very nice historical site. This CN station is over 100 years old so there is a lot of history in this station. There is some street parking nearby and no public washrooms. Some very informative information boards. My wife and I liked our time here. This location as part of Fort Langley is the overall ambiance of the town. We...
