I really try to give the benefit of the doubt when visiting this location, but the consistent lack of quality and care, especially during the overnight hours, has pushed me to write this review. I placed a mobile order for a coffee frappe, but when I got to the second window, I was handed a vanilla chai frappe instead. Before I could even say anything, the window was shut right in the middle of me trying to speak. I waited a bit, assuming someone would check back, but nobody did, even though I clearly saw three employees inside. I had to honk four times (one long honk included) before someone finally looked outside. When a worker finally acknowledged me, she asked if I was waiting for something, and after explaining the mistake, she went back to check and eventually handed me the correct drink with an apology. While I appreciate the correction, it felt like I had to fight just to be heard, and that’s incredibly frustrating. What made it worse is that this isn’t a one off issue. Every time I come to this location during late hours, something is either incorrect or done with very little effort. Just the other night, I decided to try the new Biscoff McFlurry, and honestly, I wish I hadn’t. It looked nothing like what was advertised barely any ice cream, barely any Biscoff, just a sad cup of vanilla soft serve with the slightest crunch. Presentation was non existent, and it tasted just as bland. To top it off, while finishing my corrected frappe, I found a hard, brown piece of something in my mouth (photo below). As someone who works in fast food myself, I can only guess it might’ve been syrup residue (looks like a booger but dont want to assume the worse) but either way, it made me uncomfortable. Working in this industry for 5+ years, I understand both sides of the counter. But there’s a basic standard at McDonald’s, the “golden rule” of not serving food you wouldn’t eat yourself. This location routinely fails that. And if overnight workers are being paid more for the shift, it’s only fair customers receive food and service that reflect that. Especially in today’s economy, when every dollar counts, customers should not have to chase down staff or feel like they’re being a nuisance for expecting a correct and decently made order. This location seriously needs a management review of its overnight operations. Until then, I’ll be thinking twice before returning at these hours. I genuinely hope that management or someone higher up sees this review, because it’s not written out of anger, it’s written out of honesty. These issues need to be addressed, not just for me, but for every customer who...
Read morePLEASE READ THIS: This Micky D's is by far one of the worst McDonalds I've been to with my wife recently. We went in about 7:30 pm a few nights ago, we were tired hungry and both felt like having a McChicken sandwich. I stood and listened will my wife conveyed to the clerk that she wanted 2 Freshly deep fried McChicken sandwiches, I then heard the clerk tell the back to do fresh// Long story short they made us wait 5 mins for fresh gave us or food and both patties were shelve warm at best and some what dry.. I was so angry I went to the kitchen called the clerk forward and told him these are NOT FRESH I said "I know what a fresh Patty is like" the shift manager came forward and asked again, and I told her same thing again.( and oh yeah I heard the guy in the back try to say he didn't hear what they told him which was a lie) She offered me new sandwiches, I said No thanks! I was so upset with the (intentional deception) that I said to my wife Lets just leave and the 2 of us walked out hungry. This never happened here like this when Gordon was in charge. If you don't behave McDonalds you will become like the Wendy's across the street from you "CLOSED"

My wife and I pulled in the drive thru which for some reason had 20 cars waiting a half hour just to place order. When we finually got to the pick up window the clerk said are you the guy who ordered the 2 big macs, I replied yes to which he said cash only. So I told him I could only pay by card, he then said because our debit system is down we will give you them free or pro bono. As I arrived home to eat 5 mins later only to find both bigmacs a mess and ONLY 1 patty inside both bigmacs. If I had the energy I would have drove back and thrown both burgers right thru the pickup window. NOTE TO MANAGER OR OWNER IF YOU ARE THAT SHORT STAFFED JUST CLOSE YOUR DOORS. So people can go esle where to eat in a reasonable amount of time!!!!!
RECENT UPDATE: February 15th 2024
Management at THIS store does NOT care ABOUT the FOOD or the SERVICE.
DONT EAT HERE TERRIBLE...
Read moreI hate to say it publicly, but this is, without a doubt, one of the worst managed McDonald's franchises I have ever been to, and consistently so.
We live in the area and so frequent this location often enough to know these aren't "one-time" problems.
What are the problems? Here is a short list:
-Their service is always slow. The drive-through is always backed up because they cannot get orders out quick enough. Inside is no better. They keep one till open with a regular line up of 4-7 customers, with another 5 customers waiting for their orders to be filled.
-On top of that, the orders are filled incorrectly about 50-60% of the time, so you should always check your bag before you drive away from this establishment.
-It really seems as if the employees just don't care at all about doing a good job. They look miserable and lethargic. There is no energy. No hustle. No upbeat, can-do attitudes. You never hear, "thanks you" or "have a great day" from these servers.
-This attitude spills over into the seating area. While this McDonald's is nicely renovated, tables are left filthy and garbages overflowing, like they can't decide whose responsibility it is to tidy up the restaurant. Again, just mis-managed. You often wonder if anyone is managing this franchise.
-The food is hit and miss. Sometimes it's pretty good. Sometimes it's lousy. I went with my children today and the nuggets were cold and the drinks were warm. My Big Mac was a mess and so was my daughter's McChicken. But I generally find the breakfast to be better here.
I told my wife today we may just start driving up 264 street to the other McDonald's at Gloucester because this one is just so...
