Fromagerie Victoria — Restaurant in Trois-Rivières

It is the second time I have been to this location with my partner and it hasn't been good. The first time we came, the poutine I ordered the fries weren't fresh and my partner's lasagne was very dry so he had to ask for more sauce.

Today we thought we would give it another shot as we were passing at lunch time and we wanted a quick bite.

We both ordered a poutine. The curds at Victoria are excellent and are probably the best Quebec has to offer even the sauce for the poutine is good but again with the fries. The fries ruined a good poutine, they were soggy, cold and almost had a texture of mashed potato with a horrible taste, we ate the curds and threw the rest away.

It's the last time we come to this location, the other location next to autoroute 40 in Trois-Rivières is better but again quality seems to take a hit at...

Quelle surprise quand j'ai visité la fromagerie Victoria ! Je ne m'attendais pas du tout à cela ... En effet, je pensais à un restaurant avec service à table et un côté fromagerie avec un jolie stand ! J'avais tout faux ! Il s'agit d'une chaîne de fast food qui propose de la Poutine, des burgers, un bar laitier avec des glaces, un rayon frais avec des sauces tomates, du fromage pasteurisé!

Côté décoration ! C'est très sympa, moderne, on mets en avant le côté laitiers, des vaches ... et il y a vraiment de la place dans les différentes salles lumineuses.

Pour la partie salé, nous avons choisi le burger signature, la Poutine Classic, un burger recouvert de sauce tomate (une vrai première pour nous)

Un peu dessus, la Poutine était normale (à noter la générosité du fromage dessus, très bon point) Déception pour leur burger dit signature, celui qui doit être un peu plus haut de gamme, le pain est le même que pour les autres burgers même macdo le burger signature, leur pain est meilleur. Sinon c'est pas mauvais mais pas vraiment d'effort sur un burger de ce type !!! Le burger à la sauce tomate c'est étrange ! Une sauce tomate vient recouvrir la totalité du burger, c'est vraiment étrange car le pain devient tout mou ! De plus, la sauce est très sucré !! Ça je crois que c'est la culture Amérique du Nord qui préfère le sucre par rapport à l'Europe ou l'Italie avec des goûts plus fort !

Sinon très bonne surprise côté glace ! Une glace à l'italienne trempé dans un chocolat fondu ! On peut choisir notre chocolat ! Depuis que je suis ici, c'est le meilleur chocolat fondu que j'ai goûté ! Finalement je retournerai uniquement pour...

About the toping of the carnivore poutine : I did find the beef a bit sweet The bacon bits was top quality, salty and smoky.

I tried the regular sauce (doux) which was a classic brown gravy, flavourful and you can’t go wrong with it. Also tried the pepper sauce and that one was the winner for me ! I would really recommend that one if you’re fan

The mac and cheese are extra cheesy ! Didn’t like much the bread...
