Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Trois-Rivières

Today, October 14 2021, me and my family were denied an option to dine inside the restaurant as we did not have a Quebec-issued COVID vaccine QR code. As residents of Ontario, we only have an option to print or download vaccination receipts from Health Ontario website. After having presented them, along with Ontario driver's license, I was told that this was not acceptable as I had to "get approval from Quebec". Despite trying to explain to the person taking our order that we do not have this option in Ontario and that we can't get a Quebec-issued QR code, we were told that our paperwork will not be accepted and we were asked to leave once the order was ready.

We ate at this location a few times before and always had great experience. Unfortunately, today's incident ruined it for us.

I am one of those people who need frequent stops during long drives. I stopped at this Tim Hortons location on my way back to Montreal from Quebec City. It was very close to the highway exit ramp, which made it an ideal location for a quick stopover.
