Acropole Pizza & Donair — Restaurant in Truro

Ordered a pizza and garlic fingers there. When I called and gave my name, they were dumbfounded by my name and said that's a long and hard name to remember. (As if they never heard of it) and made comments such as how I must have had trouble as a child with an odd name like that. They asked if we wanted bacon bits and never gave us the options of real and simulated bacon bits. They gave us the simulated kind that you see in Caesar salads. The garlic fingers were okay, however the fake bacon bits were on it. The pizza was awful. The pepperoni looked nothing like sliced Italian pepperoni that you normally see on pizza and that it seemed to be Chris Brothers pepperoni. The sauce was brown and not a traditional red tomato sauce.

I rang them and filed a complaint. They didn't seem to care about the bacon bit issue especially, said that we were right in that the pepperoni was Chris Brothers and that's the kind that they use. They said they use a brown sauce on their pizza and said nothing else. I said we were not satisfied and that I would like to return it and get the money back. They said sorry we can't do that and hung up.

They should advertise to their customer base before orders are placed that they wouldn't be getting the traditional pizza. If the customer isn't satisfied they should compensate for their short comings.

I have been to many pizza and Donair parlours in my day and I would have to say that Acripole is the worst place to get a pizza out...

First off, they tend to not answer the phone and make their own hours on different days (this has happened in multiple account but not all the time). They appear to be inconsistent with how they do business. Any website (ie. google, official website etc) does not display proper hours. Secondly, we were waiting for our laundry to be finished which is next to Acropole. While waiting, we witnessed multiple employees going in and out of the store with pizza orders for customers whilst not wearing the proper mandatory PPE (Ie. Masks). Must be difficult when making pizza on whatever hours they choose of the day and not notice their own sign provided by health authority stating that masks must be worn at all times. Not sure if their brain dead from eating all their pizza or if it’s truly just an intelligence issue. If anyone is interested in the video evidence of this idiotic occurrence then please drop...

Not a happy camper first was.suppose to have three donars onky two made the order apparently so one person had to eat a slice as that's all that was ready then get back home.and they forgot the sauce on the side had to go back across.town again for the sauce... dinars are now cold and get this absolutely no sauce on the other dinars I heard if dropping the ball one but three times.......regardless to say I didn't go back a third time ....and a quick oh sorry ohh sorry ....severe lack of customer servoce for their mistakes...if it was my business and I dropped the ball three times I would said let me make it up to you here's a coupon for a do air on us so we can have a chance to prove we deserve your business ...nothing gs nodda so now.they won't have a chance to fix it last...
