Moments — Local services in Truro

It was a wedding miracle thanks to Moments Bridal in Truro! The story... It is Aug 3 at about 1 PM. Wedding start time: 1:30 PM. Getting ready to head to church and....the zipper in the dress of the maid of honor SPLITS (bought from David's Bridal...). Right from the bottom to about 2 inches from the top!! We scramble to try and fix it. The zipper won't move, won't go up, won't down! We tried safety pins, multiple safety pins! Nothing was working! We decided to go to Moments Bridal and buy any dress, no matter the cost, size or color...we had to leave there with a dress! We run in, explain our situation. We were so stressed I didn't even get the name of the staff helping us! A staff angel goes to a rack, pulls out a dress (the exact...EXACT...same color and style). Small differences...but it is absolutely perfect! And all for about $500 less than I expected to pay! 10 minutes after walking into the shop, we are running to the car and arrive at the church before the bride! A wedding miracle thanks to Moments Bridal on Inglis Street. You were amazing! We can't thank you all enough!!

My teenage daughter visited this store shopping for jeans. This was post-Covid but she often liked to wear a mask around her neck. The owner of the store told her to either put the mask over her mouth or take it off. My daughter responded that she liked it where it was. Then the owner said “Well put it over your mouth then. We don’t want your germs”.

I think the owner is under some sort of illusion that this is a high end luxury boutique, and that her snobbery is appropriate. I’ve shopped in some of the most exclusive shops on the planet, including Hermes on rue Saint-Honore in Paris, Chanel and Prada on Avenue Montaigne, and Liberty in London…to name a few. The staff in all these stores are sophisticated enough to know that anyone who comes into their shop is worthy and a potential customer, regardless of their size or what they are wearing. And they treat everyone with respect.

This small town diva doesn’t seem to know how real luxury retail works. She’s a notoriously rude lady and my family won’t be shopping...

I really can’t say enough good things about Moments. I had never shopped for a wedding dress before, and Moments was my first stop. Firstly, Marla (and the other ladies) was amazing leading up to the appointment. I called a few times in the weeks leading up to ask questions and inquire about certain dresses, and they were always so great on the phone. When we (myself, mother, mother in law) arrived a little early, they took us in early and explained the shopping process in detail. When we got started, Marla was so professional and supportive. I found myself looking for her reaction with each dress, because it honestly felt like I had an old friend there with me. My hunt for the dress was a quick one. It only took one stop and one hour to find the dress of my dreams. At first, I thought that was sad… that I didn’t get to try on anymore stunning gowns.
