I use to love this location on my trips heading east or heading west back home. Until the other day, my last trip heading home.
After noticing and watching an employee touch my food (Yam fries as they weigh them out nowadays) with his bare hands. To remove was one thing then I felt a disgust in my stomach when I seen him use his bare hands to add back to my fries.
As soon as I noticed that I kindly and simply asked another employee why a food handler is not using gloves. I was told that “A&W does not allow us to use gloves” Mind boggling. And no tongs? I took my order and walked out and disposed of my meal in the garbage. No Thank You. I give this place 1 star and 👎🏽 for this incident and I will most likely never order from here again. A real shame when you get lunch to go, hit the highway and bite piece of stale, cold trash for a Mozza burger with an over-ripe tomato to boot. Fries also cold, over fried and garbage. I turned around, went back through the drive-through and got new fries for the whole family and would've done the same with the burger had I tried it before going back. Kids chicken fingers were flimsy and barely warm at all, they didn't get eaten. Honestly and unreal experience. FRESH & GOOD A&W IS AMAZING. Try A&W on Gordon street, Kelowna BC for proper A&W.
