I’ve tried 101 Boba at various locations, and I hit up the Cambie store this time.

I especially love the Cambie location because it’s close to Vancouver City Hall, where I can sip my drink and spend the day at the community garden—it is the perfect spot to chill!

101 Boba on Cambie has a wide variety of flavours and toppings, so you can mix and match them to create your dream drink with just the right amount of ice and sweetness.

Our faves: Four Season Milk Tea with Grass Jelly Strawberry Smoothie with Green Tea Jelly Four Season with Mango Sorbetto and Coconut Jelly – We saw a lot of people ordering this one, so we gave it a try. It’s now a new favourite!

And, of course, we couldn’t leave without trying the classic Bubble Waffle, served hot and fresh in a paper bag. Yum! The staff was super friendly. We can’t wait to come back for another bubble tea run!

I actually got my first ever bubble tea from 50嵐 aka the Taiwanese version of 101 BoBA. I’ve always loved their boba and that is why even now, I always get a bubble tea from them the first day I’m back in Taiwan.

We got to try their boba milk tea obv. Gotta love the chewy boba! So satisfying! I got less ice and no sugar and honestly it was sweet enough for me. We also tried their ice cream strawberry black tea and Ovaltine smoothie. After a good mix, both were so refreshing and aromatic. I’ve always loved an ice cream and black tea combination, especially when the ice cream is well mixed. I enjoyed how the taste transformed as the ice cream got mixed into the drink more. Lastly, we also tried their popular roasted oolong milk tea. It was so simple yet so delicious! They have such a good variety of drinks!

We visited the Cambie location. They have plenty of seats and my friends and I have always enjoyed catching up over drinks there.

⭐ Disappointing Service Despite Being a Regular

I’ve been ordering from here for pick-up through Uber Eats 4–5 times a week because my husband and coworkers love bubble tea. Usually, I get the Buy 1 Get 1 deal for $8.09 (one drink is around $5.25).

But today, I accidentally selected just 1 drink instead of 2. I still paid $8.09. I explained the mistake and asked if I could just get the second one since it’s part of the usual deal. The staff (a Chinese man) refused and insisted I buy another drink. 😅 So I did—just to avoid more hassle and got it for my coworker.

The second drink was supposed to be 20% off (a July promo), but he didn’t even apply it. No flexibility, no courtesy, even though I’m clearly a regular customer. Disappointing.

This will be my last time ordering here. There are so many bubble tea places nearby with better service. Loyalty should count...
