Dropped by to try the AYCE lunch promo I heard about from social media.
Service was timely and courteous as the worker explained the AYCE process and made an effort to get fresh portions when possible. Dining was simple as I would go back to the stall and receive a new tray along with the items I requested.
Selection was good with favourites like Pad Thai and Green Curry. I saw another review about their Basil Pork but looks like their selection changes as it wasn't an option today.
I think for a food court stall, the food is solid. $20 is definitely expensive for a food court meal. HOWEVER, $20 is an price for AYCE Thai food, especially considering that 1) Thai cuisine buffets are very uncommon in the area and 2) an entree at any other Thai restaurant would run you $16-22 from my experience.
Flavours are good though I felt the flavour of the pad Thai wasn't quite right. It was enjoyable though it seemed a bit too strong. Might be better if the sauce was more mixed in.
Also got a Thai tea which was solid! Hope they can increase the menu options and that other food court stalls might offer a similar AYCE format for even...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing staff, kind, and love their All You Can Eat lunch. Only at this location and probably the reason I will commute for half a hour just to come here. Good selection of signature dishes with some rotating dishes. Sometimes it’s chicken wings sometimes it’s fried chicken (boneless) but whichever it is, you can trust that it is fresh, delicious, well seasoned, and absolutely scintillating with some good pad Thai or rice. Always get the Thai milk tea for $2 more with the AYCE. Must try their green curry and cashew stir fry. Everything is phenomenal and AYCE truly is AYCE. I went back almost 10 times and they welcomed me with more food and filled each plate as much as I wanted. I think the kind lady today was shocked at how many times I came back. I commute to that area just for this. I’ve tried the sit-in restaurant near King Ed and Cambie, and food is similar but nothing beats this location. Always come to the City Square location. I do wish that I can get a few more fried chickens each time, or get a few extra milk teas (or adjustable sugar for...
Read moreI had the all you can eat here! Would definitely recommend if you're hungry! I skipped breakfasts and was busy all morning so I was starving! At first it was a bit confusing since it is located inside the mall, but the staff was super friendly and helpful.
The price for all you can eat is just under $20 before taxes, $19.59. I came here at 2:00pm, the AYCE goes on from 11:30-3:00pm. It comes with your option of rice and what ever you see at the warming station. Not all the food options they had advertised were available at the warming station, and I never really asked for them but I was pretty happy with whatever food they had. Once you finish you can just go back up and ask for more and they'll give you a brand new tray, no need to bring up the dirty tray.
The food was delicious and flavourful. The staff was super friendly and didn't try to skim on the portions. For the price it was definitely worth it, especially considering I had 3 trays worth of food all by myself! (I forgot to take a picture of the 2nd tray, before I...
