We are so blessed to have good sushi all around Vancouver. However, this joint is by far a cut above the rest and some of the best sushi I have had in a long time for sure! The freshness, quality, consistency and flavor of everything we had was rad and super yummy. The perfect balance of chewy, crunchy and aromatic tasting. The level of detail was awesome in the fact that they even lightly brushed the sashimi with fresh lemon wedge which is a new experience for me. Combo'd with the sweet value for money makes this one of my best experiences and I'm totally stoked to return! Rolls are super fat, stuffed with wholesome fresh ingredients and crazy delicious, Takoyaki たこ焼き and Edamame 枝 was perfectly seasoned and not too much overkill. I have to give a special shout out to the staff who are super nice awesome people and made the dining experience incredible. Extremely talented and professional food and service with efficiency. A quaint, cozy and comfortable laid back vibe in a well decorated and authentic eatery. I love this sushi joint and found myself a new local eh! Support...

I ordered salmon sashimi, an avocado salmon roll, and the red dragon roll for take out. It said it’d be ready for PU in about 20 mins, but ended up taking 30.

It definitely hit the spot and satisfied my sushi craving, and I would order from them again! Especially since it’s tough to find good Atlantic salmon in Vancouver

The salmon avocado roll was a bit uneven in terms of the amount of salmon and avocado to rice ratio, with some pieces having way more rice than salmon/avocado or more salmon than avocado and vice versa. The salmon sashimi had a hint of lemon flavour to it, and the rice had a vinegar taste to it.

I have a dietary restriction when it comes to spice, so I asked for no wasabi on the side, which they thankfully followed; However, I was not expecting my Red Dragon roll to be covered in a spicy sauce, as I had had it from other restaurants and it didn’t have. I would have asked for it without had I known. I tried to scrape it off but it was pretty soaked all over, so I sadly wasn’t able to eat most of it.

From what I did try, the roll was...

Yesterday I took my family and my boyfriend here for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. Immediately when we walked in I noticed a few things, their fish tank is not well kept and was leaking, the server looked really annoyed with us and clearly didn’t seem like serving us (a table of 6) , and they have too many big fish in a small tank. 3 of us ordered sushi and 3 ordered meals. The sushi came out way before the first meal came out. By the time my mom got her meal everyone was finished eating their sushi, when she finished her curry, my beef udon came, and mid way through that my dad’s food came out. It was awkward being the only two eating after everyone finished so I only ate half of my food. There was no apology for the food coming late, no smiles from the workers, and the food didn’t...

Visited Vancouver for the first time and decided to check out the downtown area after visiting Stanley Park which is super close to Big Bang Sushi! From the outside, it had a cute exterior and once you enter, there is an interesting fish tank that you can look at. Staff was super friendly and we received our food in a timely manner. Complimentary hot tea was served first. We ordered a ton of great food ranging from sushi, miso soup, lunch combo, takoyaki, and tempura! Seafood was super fresh, probably the best one I've ever had. My personal favorite was the Scallop hand roll, Golden roll, and the takoyaki. Everyone please visit this restaurant if you are in town! Support local small business. 5/5 recommend this amazing place for quality food and service!
