Freshslice Pizza — Restaurant in Vancouver

I have been wanting to write this review for awhile now but haven't had the opportunity to sit down and do it properly without rushing through it. My wife and I had finished shopping at The Brick Furniture store around 12:30 PM, on October 8, 2024, which is located next door to this Freshslice Pizza location. We had never dined at a Freshslice Pizza outlet before but thought we would give it a try. From the moment we entered we were very impressed with the sole young female employee running the store all by herself. She was amazingly friendly, polite, organized, helpful and hardworking. We were not sure of what to order and she gave us some suggestions and stated she was just making a fresh peperoni pizza. There were several others customers in the store dining and numerous others coming in to pick up pizza's and other products. I have no idea how she handled everything?, it was like there were 3 of her running the shop. She was making pizza's, packaging food, serving people, taking payments and as we were finishing eating she was cleaning tables and the restaurant. If I was her boss, I would give her a raise and promotion. This young lady is management material and should have her own store to run. Now the pizza, we sampled 4 different types of pizza and they were all excellent in taste, quality and price point. Excellent value for your money. My wife who isn't a big pizza fan stated, "this is the best pizza I have ever ate in my life"...she loved the sauce and stated this pizza is not salty like other pizza's........and she told the young employee the same thing. The little restaurant isn't very big or fancy, but it was very clean and organized in no small part to this employee. This evening my wife said she wants to eat Freshslice Pizza this weekend again..............this would never have happened in the past, it was always me suggesting to have pizza........yippee for me as I love pizza!!!! Freshslice Pizza is our new favorite pizza place. If you have never tried this brand of pizza before you need to give it a try. We hope the quality and service are the same at other locations near where we live.

NOTE: I just read another review about this store from 5 days ago so I am making an edit (more of an addition) to my review to include: The review stated the store was sold and that the service and quality of pizza has gone from 5 out of 5 to 1 out of 5 with 3 employees working...........what a shame................I hope the employees that are no longer working there have other jobs. The reviews of the previous employees are top...

I am a returning customer. It is ironic how the chain with the least fresh pizza is titled Freshslice. Perhaps, I should not attack the chain but rather this specific location. The food is greasy, unbalanced, and disgusting. In terms of quality alone, this is at the floor in comparison to everything else.

The reviews section particularly strikes me - a 4.7 average rating! From my observations, I think that most of these reviews are from either family and friends, or from months/years ago where the food tasted different due to different position transfers (Jake Tsui said a new management, which makes a lot of sense).

Also, as a message to the owners, please stop automatically replying positive feedback to your reviews! I observe that in Jake Tsui's comment, you replied with "We are happy to know that you enjoyed your food," a clear misassumption that he had to emphasize himself. It just shows the true quality of your food.

It would truly be comedical if this comment replied with ANY positive feedback about your restaurant 😂. I do not wish to submit my experience at any website, because it is directly specifically to this one....

CHEAPEST Freshslice Ever – Embarrassing Experience

This location is run by the cheapest owner I’ve ever seen. I’ve been going to Freshslice for 10+ years and never had to deal with this kind of garbage. I ordered 1 medium pizza and 1 cheese slice — over $20 spent — and they gave me only 2 plates. When I asked for a 3rd plate, the woman working on July 26 night shift told me I’d have to pay extra. For a damn paper plate.

Then, instead of just giving me the extra plate, she gave me my slice in a PAPER BAG. Are you serious? How the hell am I supposed to eat pizza out of a greasy paper bag?

And the attitude? Rude as hell. She was calling me cheap when I was leaving. Zero customer service. No common sense. Just trying to save a few cents while ruining the customer experience. If you can’t afford to give your customers a plate after they spend $20+, you shouldn’t be in business.

Freshslice corporate needs to step in and check this owner. I’m done with this location, and I’ll make sure everyone I know avoids it too. Total disgrace to the...
