New review. Previous review is below.
The server that we had was very attentive, the food came out within a reasonable time, and we all felt well taken care of right up until the end of our meal. As before, the food was delicious as well.
Thank you for the great meal, I'm glad I tried coming again.
Hey. So I'll try my best to be fair.
Things I liked.
The food was delicious, on par with the Jinya Ramen downtown. We got the premium tonkotsu red and a bunch of small plates for my wife. The food came out really quick. I was pleasantly surprised how timely the food was, and I appreciated that a lot. The inner decor was really nice, the wall art at the back looked really cool as well.
Things I didn't like.
When we were seated, we were told a waiter/waitress would come to our table soon. None came, I had to flag someone down every time for them to come to our table at all. I saw a lot of staff just standing around doing nothing and talking on the side, which further worsened the fact that we didn't even have our water or the beer that I ordered. The food and small dishes came before the water that we had to ask 3 times for.
Things that were unacceptable.
After getting my bill, I put down 13% for my tip to the server. After asking for my copy, I noticed that the machine was jamming, which was no problem at all. The problem was after I got the receipt back, they put 20% instead of the original 13% for the tip. Felt really scummy after checking the amount charged to my credit card. Is an extra 6 dollars worth a less than stellar review? Come on guys.
Please be more mindful. I will assume that this was a mistake, but even still, felt like a slap to the face after the less than acceptable service that we had tonight.
Might be back,...
Read moreWent there couple weeks ago and this is how’d it go…
Ordered a Premium Tonkotsu Red
Chose level 3 for spiciness out of 10
My ramen was UNEATABLE every time I tried to have it would burn down my mouth
Ramen inferno should be called
Not a cuisine expert but I believe a no 3 out 10 should not be spicy at all
Had to send back the plate…
my mom was sweating cold of the spiciness, she chose to suffer and more less eat the inferno ramen
I was suggested to add , soup or water which I deny
Asked for another one but this time a 1 waiter said plate came already spicy…
I don’t understand why you let me choose from 1 to 10 if at the end the plate already comes spicy and no note in the menu for this
Out of hunger I said if they could bring me another one and I’ll pay it I just simply couldn’t keep eating it…
20 min after finally got another ramen
When we paid the bill for a moment thought the restaurant would take care of their inferno ramen I was given… but they didn’t
Ended paying for all the ramens…
never coming back…
just lost a customer who lives around the corner over pasta and couple pork chasu…
1 to 10 is such a vague term for spiciness FYI Hardly believe you have 10 different broths
I can only wonder what the 10 does to you
Again 1 to...
Read moreFirst time at this location on West Broadway and it is spacious with lots of seating available for small or large groups available.
No free parking available. Meter street or paid parking lots available around the area.
Went with family for brunch as it just opened within 30 mins and was quiet. Greeted upon entry and seated.
Food was savoury and flavourful. Nothing better than having ramen on a rainy day
Had the following - JINYA Chicken Ramen (with side addition of Crispy Fried Chicken) Premium Tonkotsu Red (spice level 6, with side addition of Pork Gyoza) JINYA Tonkotsu Original
The broth hit the spot. The Crispy chicken was moist and had a great crunch.
Spice level 6 for the Premium Tonkotsu Red was just right for me. Some kick but not where I lose the taste of the broth and numbing my taste buds.
Can't go wrong with original. Always great to start with if unsure.
Everything all good for and the reason I gave 4/5 stars is because of parking as it was not convenient which can take awhile to find and paid parking (weekend or weekday) but not surprised as it is west side...
