I ordered here on July 1st through UberEats. My original quoted time of 45 minutes ended up doubling and I had my food eventually delivered in an hour and a half.
The food quality was TERRIBLE. Firstly the food was badly packed. I had sushi and the hot yakiudon noodles packed into the same bag! How does this make any sense?!? With the delay on my order, the sushi became warm and i did not want to eat the raw fish like this.
The second key issue was that the Uber delivery was on bicycle. UberEats never flagged this to me during the order as I would have NEVER accepted a sushi delivery by bicycle.
I complained to Uber and also emphasized that bicycle deliveries should be flagged to the customer ahead of time. They offered me a $5 credit but I will not use this, as I will never use UberEats again if there system does not notify the customer of bicycle orders. Of course they never acknowledged this point in their response.
Although Uber damaged the food quality with their delivery, the restaurant is still responsible for their food quality. They should have contacted me or Uber if there was a significant delay on the food. Their packing practices were also to blame for the ruined experience.
I will never use UberEats again and I will also not be back to ginger...
Read moreI am adding to my review because I do feel the quality of the food has improved over the last few months. However, now front of house is terrible. I'm not sure if there's a problem or if she simply doesn't want to serve customers however I visited yesterday which is June 4th 2022 and she seems like she was upset that I was purchasing food from this restaurant. She was bothered to take my order, she was bothered when I was paying, and generally overall not a very appealing attitude to be working in the service industry. Yes, I understand the immense amount of stress that people are facing today due to the shortage of coverage and staff but perhaps this role is not suited for her.
review left Sept 2021 I hate to do this but since the pandemic the quality of the food is getting progressively worse. It was my favorite place to go to over the last 5 years so I'm very disappointed that I've had to change my review.
The rice was undercooked, salmon was not cut properly so it left a stringy texture when eating nigiri, for some reason they switched back to Pink Ginger and a few other issues. 🤷🏼♀️ I really love this place and I'm hoping that they can revert back to how things used to be. I'm going to put a pin in it for a few...
Read morei hate leaving bad reviews but this was genuinely one of the worst restaurant experiences i've ever had. went with my partner and split the vegetable tempura, chicken kaarage, salmon avocado roll, and BC set B. the tempura was okay... pretty cheap ingredients as we literally got an onion ring. the kaarage was incredibly weird. strips of dry and curly chicken? seemed more like pork the way it looked and pulled apart, also in a honey sauce which is definitely not traditional. but the rolls... first of all, the rice was super dry and salty and the pieces were falling apart even before we started to eat them; the nori fully peeled off of everything; the avocado was not ripe; the imitation crab was mushy and pale. and the salmon roll almost made me sick. cooked salmon? that should definitely have been disclosed on the menu because i would have never in a million years ordered a salmon roll if i knew it would have came cooked! it was disgusting. we left almost half the food on the plate. not worth it at all. i wasn't even going to leave a review but its been almost two hours and we have been feeling sick to our stomaches and shaky since eating here. this was a...
