🇨🇦 Vancouver's Best-Kept Secret: Grape & Soda Natural Wine Bar 🍷✨

We visited Grapes & Soda for a date night dinner, and we were not disappointed. We ordered the combined Charcuterie board and Pasta as well as their signature bottled cocktail. The entire charcuterie board was well put together, and the meats, cheeses, and condiments all complimented each other very well. The bread was very fresh and the sourdough crepe was a nice touch. The bottled cocktail was nicely balanced and very refreshing, as well as being a very substantial size for the price. The pasta was nice, but definitely not the strongest of the items that we tried. The entire restaurant is very small and has a cozy vibe. Our server was very attentive and friendly, and checked in on us the perfect amount. Grapes & Soda is the perfect place to sit down and enjoy a few drinks after a night out. Due to the smaller portion sizes I don’t think I would recommend it as a place to eat a filling meal, but the cozy vibe, great service, and fantastic cocktails definitely make it worth checking out if you’re in the area.

I came here with my husband and two friends on a night out. The menu is simple, tapa-style servings but everything is farm-to-table and a cocktail/wine list. If you’re looking to have a full meal, this place is not for you. We ordered almost every tapa on the menu and was not full but we all had a great time because we each tried three different wines/cocktails. Feature items of the day (FYI: they bring a cute little board to show you) were: Spring Salmon, padron peppers, shiso soda. I guess if you were starving, you could order the salmon as that’s the closest thing to being an entrée. Service and ambience was great, the bartenders here make amazing cocktails, you’ll definitely enjoy them. Also, a little bonus for me was how their tables were designed to hold all different types of bags/purses. It’s not a hook, it’s a tiny drawer like ledge that can pulled from the corner of the table. I thought that was the coolest thing ever.

I went to Grape & Soda with my partner, We booked 4 weeks in advance and we were very excited. We arrived and we were fairly rushed to the table by the host which was a bit weird but whatever, we arrived on time at 7pm and our waiter was really nice to start. We ordered a bottle of wine and food, it took 15/20 minutes for the food to come, we sat and enjoyed ourselves for a further 20 minutes and thought the night was great. Unfortunately once our food came we were informed by our server that we only had 40 minutes until the next reservation came and we had to finish our wine and food quickly. We were notified every 5/10 minutes that we needed to finish up quickly. I am not usually someone who complains but it was reallly disappointing that such a lovely restaurant/bar never communicated that we only had 1.5 hours to eat and drink on our reservation and just how the waiter pressured us consistently to finish our wine and food as quickly as we could, after 1 hour and 10 minutes the bill was dropped on our table without us asking for it and we were rushed out the door. It was uncomfortable and we just felt really pressured and rushed the whole time we were there. I think it’s a lovely establishment but the time pressure is awful and some of the staff may need some training on how to look after people in a polite manner. I feel this place still has the potential to be a lovely establishment, it just needs a few tweaks...
