Juicy Joe's Burgers — Restaurant in Vancouver

Finally, I’ve found the best burger in Vancouver. Seriously—there’s no way you’ll find a better one anywhere in the city. I’ve tried almost all of their burgers, and the Truffle Mushroom is by far my favorite. The flavor, the texture, everything is just on point.

What makes it even more special is the story behind it. The owner took the time to explain how the recipe has been passed down from his grandfather to his father and now to him. There’s real passion behind every bite. They even have NDAs signed with their suppliers because they know the taste is one of a kind and can't be duplicated elsewhere.

If I had one small wish, it would be for a bigger seating area. But honestly, with burgers this good, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before they expand. If they keep this level of quality and care, they’re on track to become the most famous burger spot in Vancouver.

Just give it a try once—you won’t be disappointed. Everyone I’ve introduced this place to felt the same way and left with a big smile. Highly, highly recommended!

Update to my previous review: I still stand by what I said before—this place makes the best burgers in Vancouver. But I had a bit of a experience during my recent visit.

They’ve switched to using kiosks for placing orders. I’m not against change, but there was no paper in the printer, so I didn’t even get a receipt. I also needed to customize my order—remove caramelized onions from one burger and add them to the other—but the kiosk didn’t give me that option.

I asked the cashier if I could place the order with her instead, and she said no, I couldn’t.

For a place that’s putting so much effort into food quality, I hope they also focus on improving the ordering process. A little flexibility and proper support would...

I was very excited to see a new burger spot in the Kits neighbourhood, and Juicy Joe’s did not disappoint! I stopped in for the first time on my way home to pick up some burgers for me and the hubs, and I felt very welcome in the shop as soon as I stepped inside! The staff at the ordering station were very warm and personable and they made some helpful suggestions from their menu. As I waited for my takeaway order at a table, I was offered a cup of water while I waited. While that may not seem like a big deal, to me this is a representation of true hospitality, and it made me feel like a valued customer. All staff had smiles on their faces (even the cooks in the kitchen) and the environment was very clean and well cared for.

When I opened up the bag when I got home, I was pleased to see that the burgers were beautifully packaged in a sturdy burger box that certainly would never squish in the bag, and inside the box the burger was tightly and thoughtfully wrapped. The quality of all of the ingredients in the burger was exceptional - the beef was tender and crispy around the edges (as a good smash burger should be), the cheese was perfectly melty, the pickles and bacon were nice and crisp, and the bun was soft but never soggy. The fries were perfectly salted and very evenly fried (soft on the inside, crispy on the outside). The wonderful staff had also put a surprise cookie in the bag with a little hand-written note - again, a wonderful extension of the warm hospitality I experienced in the shop!

Once upon a time (7 hrs ago), there were two newbies of Vancouver (1yr and 1 week) starting their 2nd day adventure towards Granville Street during dinner time. Unfortunately, many restaurants were closed, they found Juicy Joe Burger on the map. The owner enthusiastically recommended their products, their burger meat is prime grade grass-fed beef that was slaughtered fresh that day and has not been refrigerated, French fries and sauces are also freshly made by them every day. But they can't serve dine in by the contract, only take away. Meanwhile, the two newbies were frustrated, it was cold outside, but they really wanted to try the burgers. Finally they ordered a cheeseburger and a truffle mushroom burger, the owner sent them French fries and some kinds of sauce as a side dish, plus handmade cookies as a small surprising gift. They rushed to the park with a grateful heart and couldn't wait to open the package. After the first bite, beef gravy exploded in their mouths, It Taste Amazing!! 🤩 Just few mins they all finished their burgers. Now they totally understand why this small hidden store got 4.9 points / 398 reviews. Juicy Joe's burger can beat down some famous restaurants'. The garlic mayo for French fries was really delicious, even the French fries are not dipped in sause, they are already delicious too! My God! I will definitely come back again for your food!!
