Went on Monday at 6:30pm and was seated quickly outside on the patio. All tables outside were full, and there were a handful of occupied tables inside, but it was fairly empty. Patio is a nice vibe especially when it's sunny out.
I wouldn't say the food is authentic Mexican. Our entrees (2 burritos, 1 enchilada, 1 fajita) were on the bland side and had more of a western, rather than Mexican flavour. Very mediocre at best, and there are better places in the city for authentic Mexican. Although, I will say the portion size is generous. The beer was also poorly poured, with no foam at all on top.
The service was a really big disappointment, and definitely less than average. When ordering our food, one person in my party explicitly said no cilantro multiple times for their order, which the server acknowledged. Was a big let down when the Pico de Gallo in the burrito had cilantro. A good server should know their menu and what ingredients are included. Ended up switching meals with someone else at the table and didn't bother mentioning it to the server... even though I'm sure she noticed the entrees were switched. Additionally, when our server came by to fill water, I let her know there was a bug in my glass. She said "oh sorry" and walked away... no effort of coming back with a new glass of water or remove the glass with the bug. Lastly, as we were leaving, the restaurant was basically empty inside, and the two hostess were two busy chatting themselves to say goodbye or say thank you for dining with them.
I had been to Las Magaritas in the past and really enjoyed the food. Don't think I'd go back after this experience, nor reccomened to someone who is craving Mexican... you can probably get a better burrito...

I recently had to go gluten free for medical issues. Even the cross contamination from products processed in the same factory as wheat might make me sick. So I've gotten paranoid about food I haven't prepared myself. And have become one of those customers that asks annoyingly in-depth questions about food and drink preparation (do you know how stupid it feels to have to ask about gluten in beverages because even a couple droplets from splashed beer could make me sick? What kind of lunatic asks if margaritas are gluten free? Me. That's who). Lily was kind about answering my questions and reassured me that the kitchen takes medical dietary issues seriously. She was really attentive despite her full section and never seemed to be in a rush, giving every table the same amicable service. Sometimes you can see when someone is giving great service but is emotionally checked out deep down (I can't blame them. I've bartended), but Lily genuinely felt like she cared about each of the people in her section.
The food came out in perfectly reasonable time considering we were there during dinner rush and it was delicious! I can tell within 10-15 minutes if I'm going to be sick and I'm pleased to say that not only was there no problem with the food, but I'm eating my leftovers now. So much for having lunch tomorrow lol
I've been several times before I got sick and had to cut out gluten and the enchiladas were my go to. I'm SO grateful I can still enjoy them. Only thing that wasn't perfect was the noise level. I can't blame them. It's a large, popular restaurant. So we sat on the patio where it was quieter and we could dance in our chairs...
Read moreA group of 12 of us made a reservation for a work Christmas Lunch/Birthday Celebration. Things started poorly after our co-worker received a phone call asking us to confirm our 34 person reservation for the wrong day. Thankfully, they corrected their error, and made sure our reservation was for the right day and for the RIGHT number of people. We arrived in groups due to the inaccessibility of the restaurant. If you wish to drive, good luck finding free parking (no fault to the restaurant for this). Our reservation was on time, and after we were all seated our server began taking orders. They were animated and swift. One of our co-workers had to leave early, and the restaurant was kind enough to accommodate this by bringing their food out first. The restaurant was well decorated and the music suited the mood, but I found the food mediocre. I ordered the LA Burrito, and I was hoping for some flare, but all I could taste was mushed avocado mixed with insufficiently seasoned ground beef. The salad was ordinary and felt rather incomplete because all that was on it was a single sliver of raddish and one cherry tomato cut in half. Fortunately for me, I was able to satisfy my hunger because the restaurant was kind enough to let us bring our own cake for our celebration. I usually have low expectations when being at a restaurant with such a large group, but Las Margaritas did a commendable job at accommodating us. Overall, our experience was pleasant, and I would give them 5 stars for their service, but I personally won't be back; the food didn't hold up to my standards considering the...
